What a neat mod! I love how up until you get to the window and watch the ceremony, the vortigaunt is always just a bit too far away to make out fully. And even past that, you never get too close. They're always just out of reach or viewed through some medium (a pair of massive doors barely cracked open, behind cracked windows). And the boss being this lingering sorta...thing, despite moving rather slow, is still weirdly effective. It's just the limb, maybe even just the tip of a "finger" belonging to something far more massive than you could possible comprehend and will never see. This mod uses the "undefined" in a very intelligent, Lovecraftian way. It's very good!

3 years ago but, this is directly inspired by HP Lovecraft's other story titled "Shadow of Innsmouth". I'd say, despite using half life 2 assets and having combat, it really captured some of the highlights of the original story, in my opinion. I love this entry so much!

Let me point out something. The vortiguants where Slaves by the nihlanth and where forced to be foot soldiers and workers. Till freeman destroyed the nihlanth the vorts where freed. These specific vortiguants in the mod are probably cultists suffering from some sort of Condition that makes them seem evil than the rest of the vorts in Hl2 Yes I know this comment is a joke probably

Pretty sure the models aren't changed on purpose, or it's because these maps are made for a limited competition when it comes to mods.
