Reason being is that, he's not doing damage, he's hitting them with a heavy attack but doing nothing, and because of that no healing, unlike before it was just connecting a heavy attack to make the passive activate
@@CoffeeConductor they should've also include that the last word got fixed and not fixed at the same time, tier 3 isn't 50% it's up to 65% more damage on the final hit, similar to how it was in offline mode, So you're final hit will do 1.95 more damage for light attacks, heavy is just 1.475, but just add the 1.95 of the light damage. So I'm currently using last word now, with Sash to keep improving my final hit in a combo to increase my healing output.
@@CoffeeConductor but right now, I've been testing Sash and marked healing and damage is only for ranged damage so its worthless to use if you have warriors, only benefits is only for hunters, so basically its a perk to help fight possessed units, that's it's purpose now, it has a time limit to but takes in mutiple hits, so he's basically buffing ranged weapon damage but, he barely benefits from it, so I'm just building around high melee damage and tanky hp, instead of high gun damage, because before shotguns used to heal me for around 100 to 120 if all the Pellets hit but now it's just 20 to 40 if I put all points into range but, melee is far better because of healing everyone and myself and for a more consistent amount, so that's my thoughts on how to use new Sash's, headshot possessed units and use a ranged weapon for random mods if I'm already full hp. To not risk taking random damage, or if it's necro, that shield just stops my healing if I don't get rid of it.
I was hoping for more graphical options ie disabling motion blur on consoles. Since it’s allowed on PC it should be available to all players to keep it fair in cross-play.
Cant keep puppeteer power possessions the same especially with the buff on basic units damage. Itll just make it as bad as warlord or necromancer before patch so make sense to buff them but also make it harder to possess. Otherwise itd be everyone run to puppeteer because the basics got buff n they can continue possessing early on so i agree they needed to change that.
This update made having Annie on your team important. She can help with the nerf ranged weapons got and her abilities can help melt the balance bars during end game

I played 3 demons rounds and still dont like the gameplay loop,especially on the new map.the smaller map makes double objective so easy.i also noticed its taking me like 2 mintues to get into a survivor round but I get into a demon round instantly.im in nyc,I think demon player base is falling off.when u get a good round where its back and fourth,thats fun.but you usually get a survivor sided rounds and thats not fun for demons.spending 20 mintues when you know you gonna lose isn't fun.i found survivor more enjoyable.i love playing Jason in friday the 13th.its fun,you can talk to other survivors,when u play demon,your literally alone and its boring

Many of my friends and I stopped playing this game due to extremely long wait times for a (vs player) match. Takes about 30-45mins on PS5, pacific time zone player. I sent a complaint to Saber and hope they address this issue ASAP.
I have noticed that there are survivors still animation canceling attacks and that Ash can exorcise possessed units one after the other with no cooldown. It’s funny when I look in forums that say demons are OP and that they should be in a full non-interactive spectator type mode until the map is complete.
Anyone experience an issue playing demon where for some reason in spirit form it goes abnormally slow? Like slower than a walk, and it doesnt go away? I have to end up quitting because it seems like a glitch and you can barely get around the map
I've run into this in a few games. You can possess an evil unit, move around for a few seconds and then let go of the possession. Gets rid of the bug most of the time, but I'm still not sure what causes the super slow spirit form speed.
Btw swing, the last word is fixed and not at the same time, tier 3 increase final hit by 1.95 and if it's the same as offline than tier 2 will be 1.75, and I'm afraid if it's the same as offline, tier 1 for some reason makes you're last hit weaker to around 1.26 instead of 1.3 like normal, gotta test the 2 tiers but yeah it's fixed but not correctly.
I absolutely hate the Castle Kandar map.. It can take like 20 minutes to find the map piece on the castle ramparts, but then other times it just spawns in 3 close open areas right by the survivors.. Every game on it just feels like pure RNG based on the map piece spawns. They really needed to have more spots to jump off and more exits from the castle.

OMG someone else noticed the wack as f necromancer attack rate buff. They didn't mention this buff in the patch notes which is strange. You can't dodge the necromancer's basic attack anymore. I thought people were hacking as necromancer for like a straight hour because of that janky attack speed animation buff. I sent in some feedback just now to Saber making sure they are aware of how horrible it is to face the necromancer now.

Whip your head from side to side very fast. Notice how your peripherals are blurred more as opposed to when you just look ahead without moving your head. Same in game. So when you whip the camera you can keep everything in focus and avoid over looking things on the edge. I wasn't aware this was an issue in this game though, honestly. It's a bigger deal in shooters because you can easily overlook enemies that may blend in to the environment. In fairness, this will help slightly with not losing track of Pablo in battles. Dude is basically camouflaged.
If they are going to insist upon nerfing the demon early game, they should at least stop giving the survivors hints as to where the maps are. I think that would balance the gameplay and add more tension.
It already staggered everything hit and did massive balance bar damage. Now it does good damage on top of that. The ability was always really good though. Feels like they did this last balance patch by listening to social media instead of using metrics lol.
Lumberjack Axe still seems exceedingly rare for some reason. I don't even see any in some games and almost never see them drop from chests.. But then chainsaws are all over the place even when there's nobody that can use them.
Just doesn't quite seem like they have a good handle on overall balance, and game depth in particular seems to be suffering without anything to replace it. Basics mainly needed a damage nerf. That way possessing them early wouldn't be so dominant. Possessing a unit is where most of the game's best depth emerges, so just turning that off for the first 15-25% of a match sounds like a loss with no real gain. Just like with this Possess change, you'd slap extra damage into the progression menu so that mid/late Basics were about like they are now. That said, I still think it'd have been amazing if the game offered a mix of Possess and No-Possess playstyles. Meaning a demon in a match could either specialize in Possession (similar to the old playstyle) or in summoning minions and activating their attacks/abilities. It's a bit like how FPSes like Overwatch have characters like Widowmaker (a high twitch skill sniper) and also like launch-Torbjorn (a character whose personal weapon did almost nothing, but whose effectiveness came through being tactical about whether he built a turret). I'd also like to see balance in the value of different possessions. Or at least if there's imbalance, don't have Basics be superior to Elites. Games are only interesting as long as you keep learning new things. So in a rough sense you can measure it by how elaborate you have to get in describing optimal strategies to people. With the Puke change we went from fairly simple advice ("possess-puke-dodge-H-H-H") to _extremely_ simple ("uh, just aim at them. That's all you can do."). So I'd have preferred something like either (A) puke cooldown is now on the player instead of the unit so you can't just keep grabbing new pukers, but dodge-canceling is left in and you can at least get one solid combo off when your puke is ready, OR (B) remove dodge-canceling but have puke itself be a lot more interesting, like you can hold the attack button to puke a longer distance (while released the distance gets shorter) and there's a central high-damage puke and a wider low-damage spray so that there's a lot of variation to just how much damage you end up getting from it. I'll probably come back to give it a try, since there _are_ a lot of good changes too (and new content is always hype), but the overall stance of just removing things that legitimately increased game depth without replacing it in any form seems like a losing strategy (even though a lot of that game depth revolved around things that were legitimately overpowered and _should_ have received a balance change, it's just not good for them to always pick the change the decreases the skill ceiling further.)

Playing the demon now feels more methodical. I honestly prefer it since it is more fair for the survivors. Now you have to be at a decently high threat to take on a coordinated team.

Juat won a game with a bunch or randoms all split apart with no mcs vs a level 25 Necromancer...if that doesn't twll you they butchered the demon than I don't know what will. That should literally not have happened. There should have been no reason why a bunch of randoms who were not coordinated at all beating a level 25 demon.

Puppeteer is S-tier now. early possession (and power possession on top of that) makes him extremely good. if survivors are not together its game over
And they boosted the damage numbers for the basics and elites too. So that only makes him better too.
What they did is just put more to effect how demons have their strengths, pupps being early game, war for mid and Necro for late
Power possess isn't cooling down while you're using it anymore. It's a pretty big nerf tbh. o3o

Yup! Although they're still limited by previous restrictions, you can't actually get possession 3 until threat level 8.

This update really nerfed demon into the ground.
Idky but i cannot win as survivor or demon😂 like it doesnt matter what i do i always somehow get shredded by either survivors or demons ( mainly by demons) i stopped playing shortly after this came out so all my stuff wont matter coz everyone is maxed out😂
Its about matchmaking. I remember when I was level 1 surv i was being matched with all level 25 teammates.

I'm starving as a demon now early/mid game. Basic spam was not fun, but this is BS. Good luck with ques survivors because demons ain't having fun scavenging for crumbs all game.
It feels like game is pulling me back when Im trying to win. It feels like devs are saying to me: No, you are not winning, you are only here to make their game fun and no one cares about you.
Juat won a game with a bunch or randoms all split apart with no mcs vs a level 25 Necromancer...if that doesn't twll you they butchered the demon than I don't know what will. That should literally not have happened. There should have been no reason why a bunch of randoms who were not coordinated at all beating a level 25 demon.
Demon is only there to make their game fun. Apparently.

Well something I can tell is that it's just warrior spam except ed and support but leader suck support suck and hunter sucks so I'm just going to wait for a update and you don't give me anything to spend my points on terrible it should be a killer and 2 characters and a map this added nothing except a map and a fps boost this was not worth the wait no new missions
