I just realised that there are many people with same story as mine. My teacher went physical (held my collar) and humiliated in front of my whole class just because I was not good in english. And I did almost the same thing to excel the language.

English is made look extraordinary by the nehruvian Indologists. Since my parents were keen in teaching me English, I just learned and left it aside. I seldom use English.but English won't be having that flavour and beauty like our mother tongue do.
Well, my journey of starting to speak English started with the series Marvel Agents of SHIELD as I couldn't find the Hindi dubbed version of it. So I invested my half-year of 9th grade and 10th as well to fully immersed myself into that show and since then, I never stopped.
Watching tv can help. Watching RUclips videos will help too. I have some videos that will help you. You can even watch children's educational videos. They really do help.
@@casualenglishwithamy6951 Well, I understand English now so I don't want to see children videos. And I have just completed watching WandaVision and I'm waiting for Falcon and the Winter Soldier. I don't want to waste my fully over watching TV as I got a lot of other things to learn as well.

Hey Aparupa. Couldn't agree more. Thank you for the encouragement :) A friend studying to become a teacher just told me that they showed this video in her class to teach - 'what not to do as a teacher'. I thought that was really cool.
English is just a language, a tool to communicate with others. There's no need to place such importance on it as long as you can speak it and be understood well.
I did my BA in India and I’ve never seen a college student in my country who’s so afraid of a professor before in my life. But Indian college student were. Which really surprised me.
Nowadays most of theteachers are more interested in flaunting their skills than to actually teach and while doing that they just humiliate you rather than encourage you to correct your flaws
This video and its title exemplify the fundamental problem with India: people running after English (albeit pretty unsuccessfully) rather than mastering their own languages and gaining a much clearer understanding of the world.
Thanks ,its really helped me a lot , I am 24 and still making a faults while talking in English . but I am trying myself hard to come out of it . and very soon I will do I know tat , thanks once again
I suggest you pick a interesting American TV Show. Pay attention to how the actors pronounce words, the syntax, and how the sentences are formatted. This will help you learn very effectively. Books can teach you just about anything but can be limiting. HEROS (old version) is a great TV show btw
Her story is soo mine! I have been through this except it was infront of the whole school. I was in 8th or 7th and i was doing the Gk quiz in the schools assembly where i mispronounced a question and said what instead of which and i was corrected infront on the whole school after 10 minutes. I wanted to cry so bad that day. 2 years later i fell in love with reading. I started writing. I became an aspiring poet, i started a blog and got more than 10k followers in months of starting and made so many big poets on social media my friend who absolutely loved that i wrote. I deleted that blog since it had fulfilled the purpose of building my self confidence and also because my friends started to recognize me there.
This happened to me too. Except it was my math teacher that put me in front of the class to say my math facts. I was too shy to talk. She put me in the lowest group. I was determined to prove to myself that I am smart.
Its all my pleasure mam..i am glad that you replied coz i am dealing with same situations.. M 20 now and still used to speak broken english...can't help it!!!

Nor does Learning English mean you are more intelligence or anything.
Learning a foreign language needs consistency and practice.
If someone did it it’s out of his intelligence
If I were that english teacher, I would've taken her to class12 students and have said "Dear, you're gonna speak better english than their's one day!"
Big fan Esha Manwani !!! 😍 You have shown the true reality in such a brilliant manner... 👍🏻👌🏻
I just realised that there are many people with same story as mine. My teacher went physical (held my collar) and humiliated in front of my whole class just because I was not good in english. And I did almost the same thing to excel the language.
We're like two peas in a pod :)
Your English seems fine to me
Truly....this is the problem of every one in two children of our country.....might me mine tooo....;)

You cannot make English bread out of Indian wheat.
Yes that’s true. A teacher should be more concerned about his skills of teaching than maltreating students
@@casualenglishwithamy6951 By the way, thanks for your offer.
@@imyasharya You're welcome. You have a lot of support.
@@imyasharya I am glad that you are so advanced. That is wonderful. .
Indian can speak broken English. Can any foreigner speak broken Hindi.💯✔️
Imagine being so bored that you scroll down and see my comment
Still can't imagine
I really feel great that I got an opportunity to hear your story...it is so inspiring ...
I like her speech and The way of the expression.
love you for this session Esha! Kids face the same thing across the nation and teachers have been mostly insensitive to this since ages...you put it in such a lucid way...thnx darling !
Hey Aparupa. Couldn't agree more. Thank you for the encouragement :) A friend studying to become a teacher just told me that they showed this video in her class to teach - 'what not to do as a teacher'. I thought that was really cool.
Esha Manwani wow! so another feather in your Cap, great going..more power to you!
English is just a language, a tool to communicate with others. There's no need to place such importance on it as long as you can speak it and be understood well.
English is a great langauge. Indians should learn this.
I did my BA in India and I’ve never seen a college student in my country who’s so afraid of a professor before in my life. But Indian college student were.
Which really surprised me.
The point is not to be the best,It is to be the best version of yourself♡♡♡
This was literally amaZing...
Everyone must send this Tedx to their English Teacher...
Exactly the same thing happened with me, god bless you ma'am 🙏🙏you're a hope for all of us

Yes 👍😂😅
Exactly
My English teacher advice me to watch Ted talks video to improve own English because I want to go abroad for higer education 🙏🙇☺️
Hii Ubuntu
She was speaking from her heart....☺️
Quite a remarkable transformation. Kudos to her.
People still don't understand that it's just a medium of expression and nothing else. And really this video made my day.😊
Thank you
What a personality.!
Now u r in Ted x.. Bcz of ur passion and self confidence.. Good
You know, all these taunts, belittling and insulting are steps towards to come over your limitations and reach at success you never thought.
No they aren't. Pls don't encourage the wrong behavior, we can do it even without having insults hurled at us. Don't be delusional, mate
Thanks ,its really helped me a lot , I am 24 and still making a faults while talking in English . but I am trying myself hard to come out of it . and very soon I will do I know tat , thanks once again
That confidence is everything! I'm already so proud of you.
I suggest you pick a interesting American TV Show. Pay attention to how the actors pronounce words, the syntax, and how the sentences are formatted. This will help you learn very effectively. Books can teach you just about anything but can be limiting. HEROS (old version) is a great TV show btw
Bhargav Polasa thanks for the help
God bless you..
Govind Geel thanks
She is a wonderful speaker!
@Kushagra I do write as my side hobby. But writing isn't my profession. It's just a passion.
@@casualenglishwithamy6951 ikr the feelings sound mutual.
Its all my pleasure mam..i am glad that you replied coz i am dealing with same situations.. M 20 now and still used to speak broken english...can't help it!!!

Im watching this video for improvement in my English speaking
I m an English teacher and when someone speak broken English I call it "theft of Grammar" and I get hurt when someone impresses others by speaking in broken English thinking that he is not judged by anyone
