Claudia could have kept that nasty remark. The word on the street is when Al posted what Claudia said on his IG page then offered a public apology to Nee Nee, Claudia was pisst off “allegedly” and had Al fired from the show. I watched Dave Chappelle special and he had me laughing the whole time. Except at the end when he was talking about the trans comic who killed her self from all them hate comments she was getting. Dave Chappelle is great and he is good at his craft. He’s a comedian people that’s what comedians do they make fun of people, if you don’t like it the don’t watch it. My problem with Q is as intelligent as he appears to be, he has an extremely irritating, selectively devoted inability to find compassion or extend grace to anyone he can’t relate to. I witness him dismissing other folks plight way too often, but when it’s something that affects him, he is the text book sufferer of mistreatment and goes on to produces sermons, illustrating how wrong something or someone is. Get off that imaginary high horse and extend compassion to ppl that you don’t understand like you want ppl to do for you.

Greek paraphernalia was used in A Different World when Debbie Allen was involved. No outrage. Molly & Tiffany were always depicted as AKAs since season 1. Molly & Tiffany embraced each other with the call and hand sign that are trade marked and no one said one word. It’s fake outage honestly.

I think that wearing the attire pushed things over the line. I remember that Debbie Allen used fictional Greek paraphernalia. Where Greek members appeared in the movie Debbie got approval. Issa did not get permission. Building relationships go a long way. I am not a Greek, but even I have known for years that their symbols are precious to them. I also think that these are different times and people have become more sensitive to issues of appropriation today than they were yesterday. Our symbols matter. It is Amanda's abrasive personality and delivery that keep her in hot water. I make it a practice not to underestimate the intelligence of others. You'd be surprised at how much can be learned from people who may not have been formally educated and who do not articulate in standard English. Let's make no assumptions.
People only say Amanda's personality is abrasive and aggressive because she doesn't sugar coat what she says, mince her words, or coddle your feelings. I understand it's not what you say but how you say it, however, people these days don't like any sort of truth. Folks want you to give them reality all soft and sweet with a bow on it. They want you to coddle their feelings and take the sting out of it. All while you get to be disrespectful as heck. Everyone is not going to fake it for you. And the truth never is pretty.

Often times as women, Black women in particular, we are called aggressive for simply asserting our opinions. I don't think that this is the case with Amanda though. You don't have to be rude or conversely, sugar coat your words to get your point across. There is a happy medium. The truth can be beautiful, it can be ugly, it can run the gamut of human emotions. Delivery is everything.

Al is so handsome and engaging. I love how calm and giggly he is, he just exudes good vibes and positivity! He’s so comfortable in who he is and i love how jabs just pass through him. The only issue i had with the Dave Chapelle is that he used Da Baby killing someone as an example. Da Baby actually killed in self defense of himself and his family and that’s why there were no outrage. However, he was speaking about the cancel culture as well as the lack of support of one another within the African American community. I agreed with Dave and enjoyed his special.

While sometimes a cheap laugh will yield some dividends, “Good” comedy isn’t just about making fun of somebody. Dave Chapelle, Richard Pryor, etc.. made bank from social commentary delivered through comedy. People don’t get mad at being part of a joke, especially if the artist is authentic in the observation; they get mad when they are the joke.

Personally as a Transperson...I feel we dont need to continue running this conversation into the ground.. .like enough already ,We are still attempting to get past being black/African americans gaining respect and Equality..in a country our ancestors built without benefits and guaranteed inheritances allowed or even promised to other immigrants who arrived in this land. Everytime someone feels there feelings may or may not be addressed or discredited,or even violated shouldn't be made a national issue. It takes away from the rights dialogue, We as a community need to keep the focus on the main rights issues as by now it should be understood after a few centuries of civil unrest...coupled with the ignorance already ingrained within the judicial system that there is a process with every request we as the public wish to be in law. Unfortunately we need to jump through a few flaming hoops and jagged hurdles to get to a place of satisfaction...It's unacceptable to use force when your speaking two or three different languages..to achieve the same goal. The Unlevel playing field still exists..
The One thing I Love about Mr DC is, He walked away from 50M, for his right to be himself. He does not run through his money, so if you cancel him, OH WELL, It would not bother him one bit financially! Say what you believe and stand on it, if your belief does no harm.
