(4K) Arrivals/Departures Mix at ORD - Planespotting, Watching Planes at O'Hare Airport

- Runway 28R departures and 28C arrivals at O'Hare. The lighting was spectacular on the A380. It was actually 2 hours delayed and was the last A380 flight for the season as it switched to a 777 for the winter. The FedEx 767 that arrived midday from LAX was an extra flight the week before Christmas for the busy cargo rush. Avianca turned out really nice and is one of the few catches I got of him. They ran seasonal service from December 2023 through the end of January 2024 to Guatemala City.

Love seeing those UA 777-200s. They sound so powerful. I also love seeing the Avianca 320s. The livery matches the plane so well. I love spotting them at LAX too.

Yeah it was a one time equipment swap from the -300 on the London flight. We do occasionally get United 767-400s at O’Hare, but you have to be on the lookout for them.
@ohareplanespotting I hate that so much. At IAH, it feels like that all the time, especially with wack departures, along with many other factors. That's why I left and moved up north during the end of April. Currently my car is in the shop. Once it is fixed, I can start doing some plane spotting again and try and make my second attempt to go plane spotting at JFK. Hopefully, I will see the Lufthansa A380 and Etihad A380.
And the exotic Uzbekistan Airlines.

There’s nothing better than jumbo jets during golden hour, and none greater than that BA A380. The only thing O’Hare needs are some props.
I mean apart from Cape Air, Southern Airways Express, and private owners, we don’t really get any. 2022 saw WestJet Dash 8 and a few test flights for the connect dash 8 that’s about it.
Oh my gosh, I’m waiting for Connect Airlines to start operation. You don’t have the slightest idea of how badly I want to the Dash 8 at PHL again. But at least GA props still land and take off at ORD and PHL. A few still better than none at all.
