@@SuperFastRc The HS81s. So here is what I noticed about the plane thus far...the instruction manual is somewhat ambiguous, don't second guess yourself, the aileron servo bay screw holes were drilled too large at the factory. You may want to get larger screws than the 2x10mm that come with it. Also when installing the wheel pants use a dremel sanding barrel to make the wheel pants sit flush. Check for cracks in some of the wood inside the battery compartment and in the fuse in general. Overall the build was smooth I got it together in about 11 hrs.
@@SuperFastRc No worries. What motor and esc are you gonna use? I used the new Spektrum 42-50-800 motor replacing the .32 rimfire and I used the Avian. 45 amp esc. I used this same setup in my Tower Hobbies Sport 46 and it performs wonderfully!
@@AndrewV-tm7ysUnless i can find a New old stock Rimfire .32 i will probably use the Avian. And then i have a castle Talon 90 i plan on using for the esc.
This is your site and you can run it the way you like but I'm just guessing you'll get more subscribers if you stop with the stream of consciousness style. No one cares if this was before the bankruptcy or after. No one cares when Horizon bought Tower. No one cares about Noboco. Etc. Etc.
The Ryan STA has fixed gear.
The landing gear is part of the golden age romance.😎👍
Just put mine together this weekend. It is a beautiful plane.
What servos did you end up using?

@@AndrewV-tm7ys Thanks for the heads up! I will get the same servos and i will let you know how the build goes! Thanks again!

Ended up doing the maiden today. I am quite underwhelmed unfortunately.
Did it not fly well?
@@SuperFastRc not well at all
@@AndrewV-tm7ys Interesting. Any ideas on why?
@@SuperFastRc I am not sure. I also maidened my tower hobbies sport 46 and it flew like a dream.

I really don’t care what you think either 🤣
@@SuperFastRc you cared enough to get annoyed. 🤣😂
