Jeff Lynne has written and produced many hit songs for music legends like George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, Brian Wilson, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Bryan Adams, Aerosmith, Del Shannon, the Everly Brothers, The Beatles, and so many others...In June 2023 Jeff Lynne will be inducted in The Songwriters Hall Of Fame ❤👍💯
Dhani sounds so much like his dad when he says Beatles.
I love both titles, pure "The Beatles Magic". I hear such sweet & soft harmonies and poetry sang by john from heaven.....
No AI back then, fair play to Jeff lynne though not surprised he pulled it off
8:38 ...... thus brings us to the present day
8:25 and now we're finally getting that 3rd track!
So many great legends on music in this video. Jeff, and Tom , and the Beatles. It's amazing how much talent is in the whole video. Haha, and they all act like It's just another day at the office.
Outstanding production.
Free as a bird and Real Love need to be reworked. With today's demixing technology that vocal can be easily removed from that demo with no piano. Everything else is already fantastic.
agreed I've heard some fan mixes and it sounds like John is actually with them there recording it, it's amazing!
Curious about what Giles Martin can do with them.
@@tcaudiobooks737 I thought they might demix and remix them for the new blue album along with the new song 'Now and Then',but they didn't. It was announced today what would be included and Free As A Bird and Real Love aren't on it.
"one of these days" has just happened in 2023
After all these years. The third song Paul mentioned is finally out
Paul was pissed off when he discovered real love wasn’t an “unreleased” track as he had thought and that it had already been released on a Lennon compilation album in the 80s and fans were already familiar with the track ...Yoko had failed to bring any of that to his attention lol .....he was under the impression that like free bird it was a track no one had heard before as those would make for better “Beatles” songs
Well the demo version was new at least? It has some different lyrics.
Yeah, I remembered that song from the introduction to the Imagine documentary. John played the acoustic and and sang it. That's a very good version!
I so love Paul and I wished he come and meet me and my family!!!!! My one wish I always did love Paul and his music!!!!
8:38 “One Of These Days” brought me here.
This is so awesome!!!
You have to give it to Paul: when he puts his mind to something, no matter how long it takes, he will get it done. That song was bugging him for almost 30 years!

As soon as Now and Then was announced to release I thought of this clip at 8:00
One absolute amazing story and song
The rubish of john is a star in a sky in 2023. Well done with Now and then.
george's constant un-sentimentality is hilarious and cements him as my fav beatle. "its john's song!" "yeah but its shit"
And he didn’t want the 3rd song they started released, it’s rubbish George explained to Paul. Well here we are on 11-2-23 and the rubbish is released titled “Now And Then”, huge Beatles fan myself but George was right.
@@ussexeter4601He talked about how rubbish the attempt at isolating John's vocals and getting a listen to the chords was, not the actual song.
ELO documentary. Tom Petty. It is very funny that Paul said their egos. They totally know each other.
8:18 no doubt he's referring to "Now and then" right here.
It's crazy how Paul refers to it being a dangerous thing for them all the be in the studio due to egos, that's how everyone else saw it but if you look back they were all just good friends since they were teens
8:43 You can really hear Ringo’s narrator voice for Thomas the tank engine 😊😊😊
Only Dani could out-hipster George Harrison.
Cool video, I like hearing these type of interviews! 🎵
Jeff Lynne has looked exactly the same since 1976.
Which is great!
and that song that Paul mentioned has finally been released with Jeff Lynne credited with his original production from 1995
This was so awesome. On so many levels for me. Ending it with the whole click track comment from Ringo was great, as I've cut tracks in studio as a drummer.
What I've always found interesting is that (just my opinion) had the Beatles continued into the 70s, they may have sounded a lot like ELO.
I wonder if ringo sat there for the full recording process. From what I understand he only comes in when he hast to play his part
Really hope Now and then comes out in 2022...we need some good news...
It will never be done. Paul and Ringo are in their 80's now, and George has been dead for 20 years. The Beatles will never record together again.
@@michaelharrington75this comment didn't age very well
@@Meilock You got that right! I didn't think it would happen. Also didn't know they had worked on the song already back in 1995, or that George had recorded guitar parts for the song.
From @robertfripp62: "Jeff Lynne is all of the harvest that The Beatles left sown in their path. But he is the best seed and the best fruit. There is not and will never be another one. Neither more beautiful nor more perfect."
if there was one musician/ producer who was good enough to be a beatle himself, it would be jeff lynne.his studio work in ELO was brilliant.a wonderful & extremely talented writer & musician on his own.
Maravilhoso!
Realmente Ringão é a pohha do click
I wonder is Paul referencing Now and Then when he mentions the track that George wasn’t in to doing.
“I AM the fucking click”
Ringo is the one who knocks, you put some respect on his name
The GENIUS with The MASTERS ............
Dude, even tha way that Dhani talks is identical to his father
I always thought Free As A Bird had a little bit of an ELO vibe, but I never knew why.
Tom Petty, Joe Walsh: "Jeff Lynne is the best and most versatile producer and musician ever"!
I love those two songs free as a Bird and realize those are great songs.
I think the songs from the team extreme technology as far as the audio format is concerned and I have always loved those two songs not just on the Beatles anthology cd sets volumes one and volume two but I’m glad that it was included in the Beatles singles collection from 2019 which is I think a fantastic collection of all the Beatles music.
8:19
Paul is talking about “Now and then”
To be fair, Jeff had damn big shoes to fill. Because where would the beatles have been without George Martin? And it takes a man with big grapes to step into that role, to get some of the best musical minds in history to give some of magic up on tape. Haha
8:25 Now and Then?
Yes.
@@delectomorfo and now its finally done
Wonder what happened to that Now and Then track.......😉
Aaaa produced by ELO… i get it now
This is why it reached No 1 and no. 2 on the charts and won a Grammy.. fantastic production by Jeff Lynne .
