True, though as a hwo main I still like his rage art more in this game. In tk7 you couldn't just throw it out raw, it had to be in lfs stance if i recall, so even if you assigned a button for rage art, it would still implement a small sidestep to get into lfs, so it came out alot slower than normal, so I rarely used it outside of just a "why not" since it was safe thanks to the pushback or in combos. In tekken 8 i find myself using it alot more since I can actually use it on reaction lol
It seems to me that this worked only because you started sidesteping the RA on prediction before the cutscene even started. Since its on prediction and not reaction i would not count that as a proper punnish.
@@ParkourGrip It's on reaction buddy, and you should press 2,1 right away as you do it. I tried it and it only works on his right side. If you ss left you'll get clipped by his RA. Works every time
How are you supposed to counter this mid/high/mid/high kicks at 2:14? It looks like Hwo has a 5 frame advantage after every block? Can they do this infinitely?
With every block hit you will be a bit further. If you are not at the wall, it would end at some moment... But yea, duck the high. Beware of fast mid,mid ender which this guy was throwing after mid leg sometimes. Power crash also an option for non low combo
Hwoarangs jabs after those mid kicks are always highs so you can duck and launch punish if you’re fast, if not you can still do a ws 4 or crouch jab so you cut his strings
The high (2) is too much fast ! And you have to push your self to visibly react then duck and then punish ! I wait for him to do his gimmicks then try something else ! After +5 you can’t even dck jab him ! Mid (4) will counter you and you will eat whole string !

Duck the high. Dick jab or just side step the initial mid kick. It’s quite linear.
Block the kick and then duck his jab . This is my guess , still need to practice a lot of stuff
