Stephen Lett at 0:42, "Well there we have 3 aspects of our defense system..." Let's reduce it to one: our body's natural ability to cope. Your body under extreme stress releases endorphins and adrenaline, both of which contribute to deadening of pain. Instead of even acknowledging physical facts, the GB choose the path of argument from ignorance, i.e. "They stopped feeling pain soon after the beatings started, therefore it had to be God's intervention."
The organization really counts on people being completely unaware of world affairs, and history, in order to keep everyone passive, yet terrified. This is the one issue of which I clearly disagree with Lloyd Evans on most points. First (and, really, this should be obvious), JW is not a religion. It is a religious cult. This in itself has several implications, among them the rightfulness of calling their belief system «faith». Faith and by extention religious freedom, do not readily apply to cults. But let’s leave that aside. A society is obliged to protect its members or citizens from danger, most often done by law or regulations. This goes without saying. A cult like JW is indeed a dangerous prospect for any individual getting involved. We all know that, and some of us all to well. So why on earth shouldn’t a society have a moral right, or even duty, to stop the cult? Stopping it by law or regulation and then prosecuting those who do not comply is NOT persecution. Calling it as such is a ridiculous use of the term; a grave misrepresentation. It only fosters misunderstandings, confusion and misplaced anger. Just to be clear, I do not support persecution of faith and religious freedom. But I do support stopping very dangerous systems of cult repression.
I am half way between your good self and Loyd. I I was to stand in a town square, and yell out that god will kill everyone and send them to hell unless they follow what I say, that could be considered hate speach. But what strikes me is how the GB consider their members to be within its own state within a state, where the GB has precidence over the actual state. I can see how that could upset some governments.
Questions 1) Are you okay with what happened to the person in Lett’s story? Are you cool with a person being stripped naked and beaten for their beliefs? 2) Would you consider the rank and file JW members to be victims of the JW cult? Would they be subject to prosecution? If so then that seems like you’re prosecuting the very people you say you want to protect. 3) What’s your definition of a religion or faith? What’s your definition of a cult? If a government is going to make that distinction, they need to have some very specific criteria.
@@stevenmara1025 I am not ok with ppl getting stripped and beaten, but at the same time I cant believe anything that comes from Letts mouth. I personally think the UN human rights document needs to be rewritten in terms of freedom of religion, specifically regarding kids. I think kids should be free of religion til age 18, but that wont ever happen. I also think governments should be nominally secular, and that the UN should strive for that, but that wont happen either. Just see whats happening in Afghanistan just now. Saudi Arabia, and to an extent India. And I live in China, so I know what happens there. But look at Malaysia, with their 2 court system. They seem to be able to work it out. Yup, its a massively complex issue, and I think the blanket UN right of freedom of religion contributes to the complexity. Not an answer I know, but it seems to me that most of the violence today comes from 1 religion wanting to bash another religion.
@@TheScotsalan Yeah, it’s very complex; that’s what I was trying to get at with my questions. I don’t think governments should be able to legislate religion, but I do think they should legislate around it - for example making it negligent homicide for parents to refuse a blood transfusion for their minor child if the kid dies without it.
@@stevenmara1025 Yup. Legislate around it is an excellent concept, and a great way around it. They could for example offer automatic asylum for any saudi woman who asks for it. Or stop selling the saudis guns. But the problem is the entertwining of religion and culture. So religion has the world over a barrel of oil. And so long as whoever is POTUS keeps saying GOD BLESS AMERICA, nowt will change 🤬. Cos as you say, how to define if religion goes too far. I would like to see religious schools stopped in the west. And get religion off the mainstream tv. But they will just claim persection, as they brainwash their kids.
1971... I was 14 yrs old.. The end was coming in 1975.... my mother made me read every story in the JW year book that year about all the persecution of the witnesses in Malawi and then she made me read the Diary of Anne Frank... Telling me this is what is going to happen to all of us soon... and that I needed to lose weight and be fit so I could withstand the persecution that was coming... I am now 64 yrs old... and even though I have been out of this organization for 30 yrs... I still have nightmares about the end of the world and hardships being inflicted on my children and grandchildren
I know your policy on persecuting Jehovah's witnesses Lloyd but I hate these men so much that if I could get my hands on them as a group what I would do to them would make them wish that they could get the treatment that one man had, I would gladly grant them their persecution wishes, you see when I was 19 I got locked up for 6 years behind something I didn't do, if you're curious it was armed robbery which I never committed I was just young and dumb and signed a plea bargain too fast, and these people disfellowshipped me and then while I was in prison I was being tortured on a daily bases at the hands of a person that was incarcerated for triple homicide, and when I asked to meet with them they flat out refused and wouldn't even send me a watchtower, and then they emotionally kidnapped my family and as far as I'm concerned they held them for ransom to punish me, all of it would be worth it if I could just get my hands on the governing body, I would gladly fulfill their prophecies for them, but I've got a better idea on what true Justice would be for these men and if anybody would be willing to let me do it I'll show you what it is
From my understanding if a JW excepted his being drafted but as a non-combatant only, the JW would still face a JW tribunal. The GB makes rules that are putting people in prison. The leadership of JW’s including branch offices ( enforcers ) in different countries should go to jail.
@Jimall Joseph I researched the whole blood thing again including Jewish scholars. In the past I used the the term ( scriptural ) conjecture for the policy now I believe this whole thing came about due to personal thoughts or feelings by Knorr and perhaps Franz.
I remember Brother Alfonse Takla in our Kingdumb Hall telling that story about his beating. Sisters were crying. I found out years later after I left the bOrg that the suppression of pain is the body's way of protecting you from dying from sheer shock ..... or something. Apparently once overloaded, the pain receptors just shut down. Nothing supernatural at all!
When Jehova with in in seconds prevent the martyr feeling the beatings he also deprives the martyr of the Imitatio Christi or the possibility to follow in Jesus footsteps by undergoing the full suffering of Christ. What a cheat, alowing persecution but preventing to came a step closer to Christ. The suffering seemed to have been an important motive for the martyrs of the past. ( of which 95% were made up after the risk of persecution stopped) Lett of course tels a fearmongering story, that is as old as the Christian church, the myth of the church under perpetual attack.wether it is by autocratic Rusians or by thigh pants. but who needs to be closer to Christ, as long as one is tight close to the governing body.
Mother of God! I think Mary herself would smack him in the face! What a piece of shit with his little ring...his lack of empathy or any feeling for anyone is appalling. What the hell would he do if they turned off the electricity to his unpaid for apartment? He has no clue and I hate to say it but he would fold like a baby.
Yeah they didn't feel anything despite the beating continued because our body goes into a shock mode blocking every single hint of pain to survive.... But Im pretty sure after he felt every single hit he took
Nice 2 finger salute @1:08. If people actually studied the knights templar they'd understand why Russel used their logo in the original zions of watchtower. No surprise then that Elmer Fudd Lett throws up a 2 finger salute synonymous with the knights templar. You can dress your organization up any which way you like but it doesn't change what it is or who it serves.
Which GB member 'cowardly ran away' recently when things got tough for JW's in Russia? Whoever it was, he was ushered pretty damned quick onto a flight out of there instead of standing shoulder to shoulder with his fellow believers. There isn't a single GB member that would not run away from the physical 'persecution' they expect the expendable JW's to endure.
Lett says they (all JW’s) have to “bravely fight”, Herd later says JW’s on earth need to do nothing but hide, fighting is only the spirit creatures’ job. Apparently the contradiction of these two statements, made an hour or two apart, is lost on the producers of this material and likely on the audience too.
There was no power beyond what is normal helping out that brother during the beating, the only thing that stopped the pain for a little bit was his natural adrenaline that kicked in numbing the pain. If anyone has gotten a tattoo before knows this, that at first it's painful some might even say very painful but then after a while your bodies natural adrenaline kicks in along with other chemicals making the process Slightly easier to deal with....
When Stephen Lett says "stand our ground and bravely fight", what the hell does he mean? He certainly doesn't mean roll up your sleeves and engage in fisticuffs; Or is he contradicting every watchtower article ever written on the subject?

Questions
1) Are you okay with what happened to the person in Lett’s story?
So the poor soul went into a state of shock. You know what beats spiritual armor not being in the "Organization "
May Jehovah continue to bless the hiding of Stephen Lett's baldness with his ongoing spiritual support of that righteous combover
I never got past the stoning of faithful Stephen why didn't Jehovah stop that?
A loving God just sits and watches his loyal people get beaten! Yea let's drop everything and go serve him yippee!
I know your policy on persecuting Jehovah's witnesses Lloyd but I hate these men so much that if I could get my hands on them as a group what I would do to them would make them wish that they could get the treatment that one man had, I would gladly grant them their persecution wishes, you see when I was 19 I got locked up for 6 years behind something I didn't do, if you're curious it was armed robbery which I never committed I was just young and dumb and signed a plea bargain too fast, and these people disfellowshipped me and then while I was in prison I was being tortured on a daily bases at the hands of a person that was incarcerated for triple homicide, and when I asked to meet with them they flat out refused and wouldn't even send me a watchtower, and then they emotionally kidnapped my family and as far as I'm concerned they held them for ransom to punish me, all of it would be worth it if I could just get my hands on the governing body, I would gladly fulfill their prophecies for them, but I've got a better idea on what true Justice would be for these men and if anybody would be willing to let me do it I'll show you what it is
Very true thoughts and Conclusion Lloyd. Such a great video again, many thanks.
Why did God allow his martyr to feel a few seconds of pain and suffering before applying the Holy anaesthetic?
What a sadist.
Lett is looking bloated and unhealthy
He’s been mentally unwell all his life.
Yes true he has overlapping facial muscles, poor guy.
These goons can’t even look in the mirror without being terrified.
From my understanding if a JW excepted his being drafted but as a non-combatant only, the JW would still face a JW tribunal. The GB makes rules that are putting people in prison. The leadership of JW’s including branch offices ( enforcers ) in different countries should go to jail.
@Jimall Joseph Good point
@Jimall Joseph I researched the whole blood thing again including Jewish scholars. In the past I used the the term ( scriptural ) conjecture for the policy now I believe this whole thing came about due to personal thoughts or feelings by Knorr and perhaps Franz.
@Jimall Joseph Yes so sad
Just a comment to feed the algorithm
Don't worry Jehovah... I got this one. I'll turn myself in to the elders later lol
A gathering of old men
Geez...A free massage wouldn’t go astray! Getting assaulted for Jehovah. This poor brainwashed man.
He looks and sounds like he is addressing a group of two year olds. Even they feel insulted.
I can't stand this guy Lett anymore
When Jehova with in in seconds prevent the martyr feeling the beatings he also deprives the martyr of the Imitatio Christi or the possibility to follow in Jesus footsteps by undergoing the full suffering of Christ. What a cheat, alowing persecution but preventing to came a step closer to Christ.
The suffering seemed to have been an important motive for the martyrs of the past. ( of which 95% were made up after the risk of persecution stopped)
Lett of course tels a fearmongering story, that is as old as the Christian church, the myth of the church under perpetual attack.wether it is by autocratic Rusians or by thigh pants.
but who needs to be closer to Christ, as long as one is tight close to the governing body.
When is the GB go be in jail
Mother of God! I think Mary herself would smack him in the face! What a piece of shit with his little ring...his lack of empathy or any feeling for anyone is appalling. What the hell would he do if they turned off the electricity to his unpaid for apartment? He has no clue and I hate to say it but he would fold like a baby.
I just noticed the ring when I read this, funny, it seems he's ok with appearing rich now, in time we might see more and a gold chain even
when stepin wolf lett talks all that comes out is hot air.
Yeah they didn't feel anything despite the beating continued because our body goes into a shock mode blocking every single hint of pain to survive.... But Im pretty sure after he felt every single hit he took
Do the children in the cult have to see this?
How I wish you have a Filipino channel. Too many of them cant speak English. People here in the Philippines need to wake up.
Those hypocrites would run with the money
Nice 2 finger salute @1:08. If people actually studied the knights templar they'd understand why Russel used their logo in the original zions of watchtower. No surprise then that Elmer Fudd Lett throws up a 2 finger salute synonymous with the knights templar. You can dress your organization up any which way you like but it doesn't change what it is or who it serves.
These people are one big fiasco.... always having to try to defend their "outfit" (organisation).
He lets them be imprisoned and beaten, but they’re supposed to be thankful that it didn’t hurt as much? Right.
Thanks for your hard work.
Psalm 68:4 shows Lloyd Evans is doing Jehovah's work?
The man who was beaten stopped feeling pain because adrenaline kicked in. That is way. No divine intervention!
Do you think this guy practiced in front of the mirror, to talk with this creepy mouth movement?
Geoffrey Jackson was cowardly at the Australian royal commission, could have given a witness to the commission but didn’t , chose the easy way out
Great llyod thanks
Of Course he was feeling nothing because he was beaten black and blue and he was numb after awhile.
why did he go with such a pathetic low number? he is preaching to the converted he could make up any number and they would not question it.
129 in prison is no evidence for be the right religion.
Lett is a liar ,i saw recenlty churches been burnt in india and in other countries
His face is trying to catch up with his big mouth: 0:47
Lett must practice his facial expressions in his bathroom mirror! He's such a dork!
When Stephen Lett says "stand our ground and bravely fight", what the hell does he mean? He certainly doesn't mean roll up your sleeves and engage in fisticuffs; Or is he contradicting every watchtower article ever written on the subject?
