Back in the day, it seemed pretty apparent that tyler did not like vince, and it seemed to have something to do with earl's association with him. I don't know if that's true, but what we do know is, at the the time, earl was fucking up and his mom was partially blaming his friends. I imagine that Tyler became bitter after earl got sent away because even tho he was a positive influence, he was being blamed rather than someone like vince who actually did fucked up shit and prolly was a negative influence on earls life. He loves earl like a brother, I bet it was tough seeing him go down that road with someone like vince.
