Im so sorry for the devastation in your area & everywhere else caused by Helene. It was so beautiful where you were filming & im sure one day it will be again. After watching hours of footage ftom Helene, im struck by how neighbours help neighbours, you dare for eachother & your faith is strong. BTW the qyality of your filming is outstanding, thank you for sharing your video with us, i wish you the best of luck going forward. ❤&🙏🏻 from the UK.

Still no power at my friend’s place north of Bakersville. Hopefully you all have power restored now.

Don't let developers come in, offer you a somewhat decent price, then change everything that makes this place unique.

Thank you for posting this. Can you go any further into Cattail Creek or is the road closed? I'm curious what happened to the cabins along cold spring road?.

Pretty much all the cabins on cold spring road are undamaged

@@T0ASTY. that's good. Mine was the small one at the end of the "road" next to Maplewood on the same side of the creek as the Fontainbleu.

That's what I came here to find. My grandparents, Betty and David Cathcart, lived on Cold Spring Rd when I was child until I got married then they moved into town on Academy Street, right up from the cemetery. They were there during the flood of '77 which, while devastating, paled in comparison to what I just saw. Thankful to the gentleman that posted this video. Cattail Creek and the surrounding community hold a deep seeded place in my heart, a place that my family and I cherish and our hearts go out to everyone affected by the catastrophe that was Helene. Edit @brandonbenzing I just realized after watching other videos you posted that the cabin at the end of the video is yours. I am so sorry for your loss.
