I love the fact there this entire theme in retrowave/synthwave of trying to get these sort of dark, action/horror movie feel. It's so niche but it's totally my jam.

Ughhhhhh why am I only just now discovering all this amazing retro-synth music?
I stumbled on this because of Dance with the Dead. That woman with green glowing eyes and the two undead in the background pulled me in and made me click the thumbnail. It was a great discovery. Retro-synth music is awesome.
If I was an eldritch horror who desired to destroy the universe, I would grant mercy and not destroy the universe because of kick ass music such as this one.
This whole album is fire.

Just ate a box of rocks and im still not done, who needs pre-workout if you have this on repeat. Best track Stranger days, don't get me wrong this hole album is strait fireeee but damn that track hits your ear drum like a nuke.... Boom!!!!!!

This is an epic album, one that could have been made in 1982 but will still be relevant in 3082. Midnight Danger are masters of the Dark- Synth genre. A fun ride, to be sure, and one that I was glad to have experienced.
Dance with the dead are the kings of dark horror metal Synth. Nobody comes close. This is their only album which sounds good. Rest of the albums are not good.

Great stuff. Best part is, and I found this out just yesterday I think, we are from the same country. AND! I have seen another band they are in, live haha!
Deserves way more views. Not only is the music cool, the production is transparent. Quite rare in this genre. Most of the stuff put out by NewRetroWave is almost completely unlistenable on headphones.
It’s so hard to find exactly what I want most of the time with NRW, but this is it.
they deffo didnt know the 80's would still be the best in 2020. The cross over from instrumentation and the implementation of electronic devices has brought you everything you hear today. Thank you technology.

I've come to discover that metal (real metal) sounds just like dark synthwave in electronic form. If the sound effects changed into a guitar, the song would transform into a metal hit, and what a hit that would be. You have your intro's, your chorus, your breakdowns, and your finishers. I can't believe being a metalhead, I haven't come to get into this type of music a long time ago. Props on this album, man. This is some serious work. Keep it up. I can't wait for more.

Impressive!
I started DJing in the 80's and I've got tons of 12" from those days. Back then this style was known as italio disco (even though it was more than likely produced in Germany). The instrumental mixes that are on those old 12" sounds very much like this. ;)
Oh, I just ordered the vinyl BTW. Now the wait begins...

Now that you mention it , Am I listening to this at the right speed because it seems to sound better at a faster play speed. More reminiscent of Italomdisco like Bobby Orlando
I believe the guy standing on one leg in the background is the creator of Malignant Force, Chris Young. Much respect to him for making these killer sounds.
