  • Makita DUR368AZ Twin 18V Brushless Cordless Brushcutter Review. Things have come a long way and it's probably the right time to switch from petrol brushcutters to lithium battery ones.

    Looks great, thanks for this. I’ve been looking at the loop handle version.

      They are fantastic. I got mine without the batteries just the brushcutter. I already had two 5ah batteries from buying a Makita drill from Screwfix. People were buying the drill set just for the batteries when it was on offer.

      @@fiveminuteman I did the same and sold the drill body, I have 2 already 😂

    I've just bought one of these this week, and used it to clear a 200m2 area and it was great, mix of grass, weeds and brambles.

      They are good and much nicer to use than the gas ones

    Just cut 2.5 acres of meadow with a Stihl grass cutter blade on my Makita 368. Mostly used medium speed, only went to high for really thick stuff. The stihl grass blade is awesome, bogs down much less than the Makita stock brush cutter blade.

      I'm curious, which blade exactly do you mean? I found multiple shapes that they offer. Could you say which one do you use exactly? I'm really thinking of buying this.

    Hi, I saw your Oregon mulching blade review last year and I was wondering whether to get the lightest one in the range (the 3mm two-blade) for my Makita DUR369A. Maybe you're right, maybe it's best to stick with the blades that Makita recommends. These Makita battery brush cutters aren't cheap to replace. Have you been tempted to try your mulching blade on it?
    Also, I'm not really sure whether to use the auto-torque (ADT) setting or not. I've just left it off because I haven't had time to experiment with it. Do you use the ADT? Thanks.

      I'm holding off using the mulch blade on my battery Makita, as most the time i use it on the petrol one. ADT i don't use, might experiment with it soon.

    Thanks for the review! Is it equally powerful to the gasoline version? Is it powerful enough to clear light bush/brambles etc?

      It's equal, batteries last longer with brushcutter blade than strim line. I bought extra set of batteries.

    I use a gas powered commercial grade Stihl at work. I am curious what is the difference in vibration from electric to gas for trimmers?

    • @fiveminuteman
      @fiveminuteman  8 месяцев назад

      Suppose to be less vibrations, but if you have unbalanced blades the vibrations are the same.

    • @rlrihards948
      @rlrihards948 Месяц назад

      DUR369 vibration with unbalanced blades (or even damaged on one side a bit) is noticable for me only at 1st speed. 2nd and 3rd is too fast to affect anything.

    What's your experience with battery duration when using the trimming wire? How long does one charged pair of batteries last?

    • @fiveminuteman
      @fiveminuteman  Год назад +3

      Haven't tried it with trimming wire as only brushcut, wire will give much lower runtime on the 5ah battery set. Runtimes are listed in the video for the brushcutter.
