Donald Trump is an example of bringing out the worst in people rather than the good.
That bad attitude and hate is endemic in the American animal. It's always in them, regardless of who their puppet leader is at the moment. They're just unsavory people for the most part. To paraphrase Trump: "Some of the Americans, I'm sure, are nice people" - most are not.
