Thanks for the comments on Misty Valley! I was a part of the design team for all the expansions, which are stretch goals. Highly recommend it as a quick two player game with good strategy.

I recently watched a playthrough for 'Skytear Horde: Monoliths' and thought it looked like an interesting and potentially fun solo game, but when I looked at the new campaign I was a bit shocked to see the price. It's so expensive for a what's just a card game, at least for me anyway. I'll still keep an eye out for it in retail though.
I was backing Trekking the World at the base level. I wanted the expansion too, but didn't think the expansion was worth $10. Now I know it was being pre-sold for $1, I think I'll just cancel my pledge
I was going to go back unstoppable, but the campaign was terribly run. When the last stretch goal was a box for the expansion, instead of fitting in the best box, because the stretch goals are going to be an expansion, it was the nail in the coffin. In the end they decided to do the box a free bonus goal 😂
As a member of the Underdog Games Advisor, I have been conversing with a variety of people at Underdog Games since they decided to go pre-pledge. It seems there is still confusion on the publisher side as to what the big deal is, however one of the designers of the Trekking that is currently on KS had this to say today: "yeah, after this experience, I'm not a fan of this method, but this isn't true of everyone in our company, and I'm not the one who makes decisions about marketing techniques, so it's not clear what we'll do in the future." Which doesnt bode well for the future i suppose
One thing that's very clear is they chose a terrible way to implement it. Soooo many of the campaign comments are about confusion/clarification over the VIP reward
Quest: "We spent 15 years developing this even though we've clearly quickly generated some AI images and haven't really provided any detail about our totally real RPG (which IS totally real) even though you might think we'd have lots to show off after 15 years of development, but trust us, this definitely is real and not a lazy attempt to use AI to scam money."
I got Skytear Horde Monolith off of BoardGameCo’s review! Though while waiting for it, I watched a review by Top 5 Solo, and he simmered down my expectations. I agree so much that it plays so differently from Hearthstone! And I’m not sure if I’ve been mulliganing badly/have bad draws, but man I haven’t beaten anything except Easy no thanks to the minions pillaging my deck. So maybe I haven’t gotten the flow/tempo down enough to say if it’s 100% for me. I did enjoy the Red deck from Monoliths! Drew the big armour heroic ally and he wrecked the outsider, just in time for the my deck to be pillaged clean unfortunately.
Yeah I'm very disappointed in Underdog Games (Trekking the World). Their last campaign for Trekking Through History was a big success and the game was a hit with my family. They have a strong fanbase and there was no need whatsoever to waste their money on Launchboom. Oh well, money saved for me!
I like how you murder certain games: "So it's rock - paper - scissors... seven times... slowly". Yes, that makes me want to buy it! However you failed at making me not buy Nemesis: Retaliation. I bought version with minis (nothing else though). Do you offer refunds :P ?
Hehe, I went to this channel looking for reasons not to buy Retaliation but that time it was the final speech that convinced me to enter 😂 To be honest I'm a fan of Starship Troopers, Gears of War, Space Marines, Starcraft Terrans so it was difficult to me not pledge on a game about Marines vs Aliens.
I'm glad you finally called Walter to the carpet for his poor behavior. He should be pilloried for his shameless behavior. How such a person is allowed on the Internet is beyond me.

The Tainted Grail campaign on Kickstarter is mainly to promote the additional solo expansion. There is a special pledge level at that effect.
