Entry - refers to choreographic entries. If you are caught doing it you will be penalized. So in a restricted Bronze, it is best to keep yourself apart and very still WITHOUT DOING ANY DANCE MOVES, and as the music starts, you go into hold (this is for Smooth dances) before you start dancing; for Latin, to avoid being flagged for a choreographic entry, go into hold, and WAIT UNTIL THE MUSIC STARTS! EVERY TIME. Allow a one-second leeway at least to least feel the music and feel the rhythm WITHOUT DOING ANY MOVEMENT when you are in hold before you start dancing. If you do this, you won't be flagged for a "choreographic" violation.
I know some of these restrictions - 1. No foot fakes. 2. Opposite footing between partners has to be maintained. 3. No foot taps. 4. No aerial ronde', or develope', in any of the movements. 5. Lead must start on LF, follow on RF, in most of these figures. 6. Obvious foot changes to allow dance partners to dance a figure on their same foot--strictly prohibited also. 7. Any dance moves that are out of that syllabus can be flagged as choreography and will be penalized, especially in a dancesport heat if you are caught doing it.
Exception - foot taps are allowed in opposite footing if they relate to the dance move in the bronze syllabus, especially the American tango. Most Bronze tango closes in Smooth do allow a tap foot ending on the last "S" without change of weight. Everything else - generally verboten.
