Lou Reed Music has been part of my life from the day the Velvet Underground released there first L.P. In 1967 (20 CD’s later) . l love Lou’s first solo Album from beginning to end
And yet it did nothing when it came out. Critically panned. I stopped listening to him around about Rock and Roll Animal, but all the earlier records were great.
If everyone who talks about Lou Reed listened to him, he would be the most listened musician in the world. Regards from Barcelona, Spain to all listeners.
I love this album; I think it is my favorite Lou Reed record, but these recordings are very muddy. In fact, I think this record has the worst audio quality of any record I've ever heard, and I have records from the 30's. The song Wild Child in this playlist is supposed to be remastered, yet it still sounds muddy and flat. I wish someone would brighten up the sound and make the drums and vocal sparkle. They did wonders with the Beatles Get Back movie. They used an A.I. to isolate every instrument and voice and were able to re-mix all of the audio from the original film stock. They were able to bring out conversations that were drowned out by guitar strumming. There are two records that I wish this could be done to. One is "Lou Reed," and the other is Five Live Yardbirds.
@@borbetomagus I don't mind the re-records from other albums as they all have mostly good/interesting production, but the production on this album is just awful.
@@nicorigo5661 I cannot stand The Velvet Underground. From the moment Lou went solo he just took off. I don't know who the drummer is here but this is balls.
@@deathmetaldouglas69 Well, he really took off with the next album, the one produced by David Bowie. This one was actually a commercial failure (altho I love it). And the VU was awesome.
George Carlin's American Dream brought me here! Anybody else?
Yup. Watched it last night and was reminded of what a great jam this is.
@@shumookerjee293 glad you thought so!
@@jarrelljimerson3346 man i just cried myself like a little kid on that 2nd part. that was some heavy stuff
Herman Brood did it !❤
But when things start getting bad, i just play my music louder!

@@trevorhoward2254 So will most of us, your comment has nothing to do with mine. What are you thanking me for?
@@chrisblair5937 it's a polite way of saying something impolite and it has everything to do with your impolite comment.

Apparently there was an error when mastering the album. The box set features better sounding mixes of a few tracks from the album.
@@sugarjoe50 Thanks for the info. I wish someone would get the original tapes and remix and remaster them.
In my Lou Reed playlist with the VU version. Thanks for the upload!
this version is better than the VU version to me

Killer track.
Love it !
Try playin' this back-to-back with the VU's original...
I find Lou Reed's version much better.,
@PATRICK MCDERMOTT Yes way! and being a VU fan I wouldn't say it lightly.
@@nicorigo5661 VU is way much better!

If Kenny would just come back, it'd be alright. Yeah, if Kenny would just com back, it id be alright-come on baby.
Hey Trivia Nut, guess what. She's totally saying Lenny.
That's CANDY, not Kenny.
Lou Reed was a big South Park fan before it even existed. He was just that cool.
Good
Any other versions apart from this one and vu? I can’t stand either one anymore. Now I’ve gotta hear another.
live version to 1968 help u
Totally berserk
❤️❤️❤️
The VU version is better..because of John Cale viola feedback. This sounds like a Vegas lounge version
Cale isn't on the VU version.

This version is ok, but the revised version when it became the Velvet Underground for the movie CBGB was out of sight.
The revised version? The original is by the VU. Lou Reed penned it when he was with the VU... Along with all the song on this album.
The inferior version.
naaa way better velvet version sorry
