Nuns are doing lots of good deeds, its very nice to hear that it exists and I didn’t know that they learn kung fu. It inspire me to learn kung fu too 😅. Keep it up and proud of you guys❤❤
I grew up in a generational Buddhist family household. I try to practice dharma taught by Shakyamuni just about everyday livelihood. I give more probes and totally support these nuns practicing martial art especially in the country like Nepal where crimes are increasing daily in the society. Nuns have right to defend and protect themselves from harmsway. At least martial art provides them discipline and create positivity in one's mind unlike some monks here in Nepal I have seen who are out of control engaging in act like smoking, drinking , going to clubs, massage parlor etc etc. At least these nuns are well behaved and respectful towards Dharma hence more power to these nuns and big thank you.

Spiritual practitioners requires healthy body besides healthy mind. That is why kungfu practices help them keep in good physical condition. Even if you look at prostration it is also form of exercise or yoga.
Interesting that some of the nuns speak in Hindi along with Nepali. Also apt that they practice kung fu as it was created by Bodhidharma, a Buddhist from India in Shaolin.
The presenter of the channel should give the name of the exact location, and the name of the area of the monastery will be more interesting and helpful to the viewers.
I feel the discipline that martial arts gives , and mind body awareness is very good. However one needs to anchor everything one dies in sense restraint training, not being lead by impulses of the mind but guided by wisdom. Then one see the path to be free from self view, sakkaya ditti.
Kungfu isnt part of tibetan buddhism although they are practicing tibetan buddhism ,i wonder who lead them? Thats why you shouldchoose your Guru wisely people
Their primary job is to study teachings of Buddha then to practice it n to teach. If they want to practice kungfu, monastery isn’t the place to do it. Wearing pants is prohibited for monks n nuns after taking vows. Plus why they wearing this strange hat ?
I think one should March with time & look at the way these nuns are inspiring not only girls but the whole society with their social work & a very modern attitude.A good blend of religion, spiritualism & a spirited version of a highly emancipated Buddhist practitioners.Hats off to their zeal & spirit n ofcourse respect for their spiritual master who have envisaged this for our otherwise marginalised section of society.
These ladies helped many people during the Nepal earthquake and continue to help disadvantaged communities, showing compassion. That's their priority. I think they're emulating Buddhist teachings pretty well! Plus, a fit body is never a bad thing.

To all people questioning about kung fu practise. Why does your school have sports? Why do you stretch your body at assembly?
everyone need exercise ...
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
What is the aim of these nuns being trained in martial art.
Buddhism is the study of mind body and spirit so it's sole purpose is to be physically sould. You can't keep your mind focused if you are not healthy.
Being fit and healthy !!! Why you have sport in your school ?
Discipline. A calm mind requires a fit body.
What m i doing in nepal ?

So much judgement in this video. Who cares if they do kung fu? If you're a Buddhist this is not important to consider. Such a pity 😢😢
Its exercise only.

This are all nepali Buddhist nuns, in Tibetan buddhism no Kungfu, no connection with outerworld.
What's your point??
Kung Fu Nun What a weird way to do this! There is no such practice in Tibetan Buddhism. It should be like the Shaolin Temple in China.
Gumba ma gako xau karathe savai hunxan,,, every person have right to being fit on there life
Kungfu isnt part of tibetan buddhism although they are practicing tibetan buddhism ,i wonder who lead them? Thats why you shouldchoose your Guru wisely people

Are u confused?
Why not send more time n effort reciting, contemplating n memorising buddhis sutra?
.. but its ok to do some kungfu for exercise, ..

But bhuddhist monk already practice kungfu from centuries...bhuddhism don't decriminiate among men n women....

Hahaha, Buddhism is about mind, body and spirit. So keep your opinion to yourself.
@@karmadoma1109what made you think that they are marginalized?
Who are you to judge a Buddhist nun of anyone? You poor thing..
