    Is that what a sdrplay RSP-DX is doing when you select decimation numbers
    Ie 2 - 4- 6 ect. Instead of bandwidth selection. I see it doubles what you see on the waterfall . What about zero if and low if . Can you go into more details about what it does and the results of it good or bad. I love your videos straight to the point and informative . Been a ham over 40 years but this is my foggiest subject. Thanks for giving us the meat and potatoes of RF details.

      yes decimation is downsample to reduce sample rate, the lower the sample rate, the lower the noise floor. so for weak signals want to set the decimation to max value. 73s take care, and thanks again for watching the videos. please give ideas for what videos you like to see, or topics you would like to see covered. thanks again.

    hi sometimes we have a rf signal that it's not repeatitive like a sound wave how can we downconvert this signals to sampling with low sample rate analog to digital converters? is there any way?
