What helped me was axle stalls to get the aim down. Then progress the angle more and more parallel till the 50-50 is successful.

Same. I started rolling directly at the ledge (of course I had flat ground front side 180 Ollies down first), would practice Ollies onto the ledge (axle stalls as you said). Then each time I would take a less direct roll towards the ledge until I came at it 45 degrees and later less. I also find it easier to Ollie onto the ledge at the beginning of the ledge looks like the kid has down Ollies onto the box so if he would just "Ollie onto the box" at the edge basically onto the ledge he could coast through.

Currently learning these because I promised my skate bro if I landed a tre before 2023 ends I’d learn these…..well the tre fell and now we target this, and why not have the best skateboarding channel on RUclips post a video on the exact trick , perfect timing !!!!!

I learned 50-50 by popping onto a curb stationary then going really slow and it helped me to lean forward when I popped so I could do them while parallel and at an angle

Approach angle is key and don't think they even mentioned it. Problem is kid needs practice with Ollie's and more height

What helps me the most on 50-50s is approaching the ledge in a 45 degree angle and doing a 45 degree ollie to lock the trucks in. Keep your back straight, don't lean too much into the ledge. VERY IMPORTANT, if you're going to wax the ledge, DON'T wax too much surface on top of it, wax only the metal coping if it has any, because in case of not locking in, you can slip out and land on your back

This was amazing! What if you guys combined the 1 hour skate clip concept with this but like: Find a kid that's learning a trick, stay there till they get it, even if there is edits for multiple days. When they get it you make it a full skate clip montage with music(legal ofc). Another option being: if/when the kid gets it that kid can ask Ricky to do any trick in the park and he also goes until it's a skate clip. Then combine them so it's Ricky and the kid skating in a real clip.

Yo my dudes, struggling to consistently landing 5050s myself. Where should I be looking as I approach the ledge? Do I pick a spot and aim at it or just follow the line of the ledge?

His front foot needs to be more close to the middle so he can pop more with his front foot to close to the front bolts he's not gonna get that pop he needs to get up to par with the curb I had the same problem it really helps to scoot your front foot a little back to the middle just my 2 cents

front foot is way too far up. yeah he's trying to force it too much and its hard to keep your balance that way. oh nice he held onto that at the end. nice job kid. keep going itll get much more natural as you keep doin it.
