From creator Michael Schur (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Master of None”) comes a unique comedy about what makes a good person. The show follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell, “House of Lies,” “Veronica Mars”), an ordinary woman who enters the afterlife, and thanks to some kind of error, is sent to the Good Place instead of the Bad Place (which is definitely where she belongs). While hiding in plain sight from Good Place Architect Michael (Ted Danson - “Cheers,” “CSI” - in an Emmy Award-nominated performance), she’s determined to shed her old way of living and earn her spot.

I am a dad of 8 and 6 year old girls and they both know pretty much everything there is to know about Jameela. She’s an incredible role model for them and I am constantly reminding them of her work and attitude toward how women deserve to be treated with respect and honour, and that it’s incredibly important our society is moulded on a meritocracy for everybody, not just men. We love her so much.

Jameela needs to be encased in bubble wrap at all times lol. Stay safe, Jameela! We need Elhani to be canon and that can't happen if you're caught in a swarm of bees!
Keep up the video version of the podcast. Even though I already listened to the audio only version, I watched this too! Also I love how Marc is as big of a geek about the show as I am.

I also feel protective of the Chidi/Eleanor relationship, but Simone is so likeable, it's hard to root against her getting together with Chidi. I wonder how they are going to play that whole storyline out......

I'm so happy this podcast is back because it's pretty much my favourite thing but I'm also a little sad that the podcast being released in tandem with the episodes means we won't get the ~real behind the scenes due to all the stuff they can't talk about yet. Hopefully you can release an extra episode at the end of the season that covers all the secrets and plot twists!

Ooooh I like this! Podcast with video! I like seeing everyone talk, makes it easier to not drift off
I actually really like Eleanor and Chidi as platonic "soulmates." I think perhaps it's that they're *too* different to actually function together romantically. I also think that it would be a nice break from the norm of sitcoms- the will they/won't they vibe. Simone seems like such a great balance for Chidi- she gets him out of his shell, but is also kinda dorky like him. I'm really excited to see how their relationship develops, and I also love how Eleanor pushed/bullied Chidi into it. She's good for him in that aspect: getting him out of his shell. That being said, I adore how protective Jameela is of the Eleanor/Chidi relationship. This was a great podcast! It's definitely interesting to get a writer's take on all of it. I'm glad I watched it.
I don't look at it as a will they/won't they. It seems more like a they already have and just don't always remember.
I also hope that Chidi and Eleanor won't end up together. I agree with you, joy, that would make a bad ending.

I've always wondered how they're set up when they record the podcast...
This was a special set up. We don't normally use a studio - this one was EXTRA fancy. Most shows are done in conference rooms!

Two extraordinarily different but amazingly beautiful and funny ladies here and Marc ain't nothin' to sneeze at.
I can't wait to see the rest of the season play out. Great jokes in this episode make me optimistic that there will be so many more to come!

Such an amazing show. Using whacky antics and silliness to teach the hoarde of ignorant masses the deeper concepts of causality and ethics. I feel like without the whackiness, most people (in America, at least,) would not get it. Right over their heads like a pass thrown by Bortals!!! This show is so meta. The creators are helping REAL people with ethical and moral existentialism through their hard work. This TV SHOW is actually making the world a better place. You guys all earned enough points to get into the REAL Good Place.

But the way it's spelled in the titles of the two episodes being referenced is "bonzer", which is probably why they're pronouncing it that way. I'm not aware if it was an intentional or accidental misspelling but there you are. (Also, thanks for providing me a little relief there because for awhile there I've been all, "Wait, I thought it was supposed to be 'bonza'? Was I just hearing things wrong because of the Australian accent?"

My dad also broke his Achilles Tendon while playing tennis, it sounded like a gun shot wound! I live in Hong Kong where guns are illegal so there was no way it was that, but when my dad fell on the ground i legit thought he was shot for a split second! It was terrifying and there's still a knot back there where they had to reattatch the 2 ends together!
