Archtop Comparisons: Ibanez Japan (JP20 - FG100 - AF200)

In this series, I will attempt to show the differences between archtop models from the same manufacturer, how they've evolved over time and comparisons between different manufacturers, with similar models.

Great video. I love the JP20. And the GB100. If my hands weren’t “reformed” around larger Gibson necks, those would be the only guitars I’d own.

I had all 3 of these models. For me, the JP20 Joe Pass was the best feeling one. Also the best playability, it has an amazing neck! The FG100 is in my opinion better then the actual / or new AF200. I had also a 80’s AF200. That one was also not better as the FG100. The AF200 is great of course! But If I had to choose, I would go for a good shape vintage FG100. These are amazing! And versatile… an awesome guitar! Love it still.

@@archtopheaven9549 i like this kind of comparison 👍 … and don’t get me wrong about the AF200… they are beautiful guitars imo! 100% … I would just prefer to buy a vintage FG100 If I had to choose. They are all three beautiful 🤝👍💪
