Good for you for staying on top of horn maintenance! People who have never worked with horned animals don't realize how much risk they can cause to themselves and their caretakers! Horns get caught in all kinds of fencing and can trap and kill animals, horns cause injuries between animals during dominance fights, and they can also easily injure their caretakers. People think it's mean but the early prevention can truly prevent a lot of harm to the animal.
I agree. I've heard a goat can gut a horse with their horns. Plus they're just fine without them. They still have their dominance fights & head but things. But without the danger from open horns. It's nothing like declawing cats. Now that I'm against unless there's a medical reason. It's like cutting the tips of their fingers off. Although that's arguably better than losing their home. To some extent. The only reason I can really see them needing horns is if they need to protect themselves. But that's what the dogs & Luna are for. I'll never forget seeing an elderly goat scare off that coyote.
First of all I hope no who put there goat and horses there, because the horse can squish goat to death and my friend has about 50 - goats and all of them have horns. And they are living the best life but yea I think you’re doing a good job and how well George you animals look so thank you for looking and loving all of your animals
I laughed so hard when you were talking about how miserable humid it is. 😂 It was 96% here last night in Central Arkansas. If it gets less than 50% here we're all excited about how light the air is! I was born in Phoenix Az and I'd say that's what I miss the most is the low humidity
I about fell off my couch laughing, too! This morning, it was about 90% humidity here in South East Texas! We can only dream of 26% humidity! I would kill for 26% humidity! 🤣
Hearing y’all say that makes me so glad it rarely ever gets over 50% humidity here! I’m already sweating in the dry heat, I can’t imagine the heat when it’s humid!
I grew up in Louisiana but have lived in Colorado for 7 years and my family finds it hilarious when I say it’s humid here and it’s like 20% humidity while it’s 90% there. You feel the diff when you aren’t used to it anymore lol
I recommend buying a bunch of culls or low grade cherry shrimp from breeders. Not as expensive and it’s best to get at least 20-50 of them to start with in something like a pond. They would also be called ‘wild type/color’
I don’t comment much but Kevin seems to be such a great man, consider yourself lucky Danelle . Great father, great husband, and listens to wife’s orders lol!
A little trick I learned one night while out fishing was to take a flash light and shine it at an angle into the water. This will make the shrimps eyes light up Red. And you can tell how many you have running around in the water. I really wish I took a photo of the shrimp I spotted that night. Must have been in the hundreds during breeding season.
It's a shame Luna doesn't like the scratching post. 😄 (I should know by now that sarcasm doesn't read well over text, this was a joke guys!) I hope you guys enjoy your time off with family!
I wish I had 26% humidity. It's 70 degrees at 10:30 pm with 93 % humidity. Talk about swampy air! I love our little hussy Luna 😆. She will never change ❤. Glad the scratch pads are a hit 👌. Enjoy your time off.
I think it’s funny when you say 26% humidity is so hot for you guys here in Maryland it was 101 with 86% humidity talk about miserable😣I’m getting to old for this weather😊 Enjoy your vacation you sure have earned it
I know you're a goat channel, but I love the cooking and family time the most....the goats, especially baby goats, are a close second! ENJOY YOUR FAMILY TIME!!!
Here in south Georgia 86 degrees it feels like 95 degrees 68 percent humidity this is what the weather online is saying not me but I believe it! It's so hot!
I loved this video! Luna looks great and doesn’t seem to be in pain when walking. Woohoo! The scratching pads are a hit! And all of the goats look so healthy! Bravo to your family! The fish in the bog sent me a text asking me to thank you for the gourmet shrimp! 🤣😂 Enjoy your time with your family but I’ll miss seeing you! Take care! ❤️🐐
Hi all from the east coast of Canada. I appreciate the heat of Arizona would do me in. Today was 27 celsius (hot for us) It's cooled off this evening but the humidity is 97% !!! That's what they mean when they say it's not the heat it's the humidity. Have a great break and look forward to seeing you all soon.
I used to watch this amazing channel all the time!...I would always ask for the same cream cheese recipe at the end of every video in the comments 🤣 it's so good to see the growth of the channel and how good everything is going. As someone who's lived by a city their whole life, all I've ever wanted was a farm! Goats and cows are my favorite, and this family has truly influenced me to reach into a farm life for myself someday.
What a wonderful video! Luna is always the star and the comedy relief but combine with the dogs and the fish and the boy goats. It’s crazy funny. Great music to accompany the scenes. Have a great vacation you’ll be missed.
Have a great time with the activities you have planned and the family you'll be seeing. And before we know it, both Ethan and Lydia will be heading off to college.
I make ice cream almost every week from our goat cream and milk. This is my recipe: one pint goats milk, 1.5 tablespoons vanilla, pinch salt optional, 1/2 cup maple sugar, three egg yolks, and fill remaining space in tub with goat milk. Delicious! We like different flavors so we add what we want after it is churned. 😋
Definitely look into getting cull shrimp/wild type freshwater shrimp from a local hobbist or aquatic club. They are usually inexpensive and more resilient than rili shrimp.
Thanks for the memory of making ice cream. My grandpa used to make it with me as a kid and I'd forgotten about it! We had a crank ice cream maker though so it was ALOT of work!
I live in Oregon and it’s 7:30 at night. It’s currently 82 degrees and 42% humidity but we were at 81% at 6am. We’re supposed to be in the 90’s starting tomorrow so it will be even worse.
Have fun with friends and family. You will be missed. Thank you for you channel. It provides great entertainment and a calming effect. I watch all your video's over again. My favorite is Kevins infamous reenactment of fighting off the coyote in the yard. I laugh just thinking about it. Blessings to you all.
I let my daughter watch your videos on my account. She looks forward every week to watching your videos. You deserve that break. Have fun! it's her birthday on the 19th :)
I’m sorry your shrimp may have been nibbled. They are expensive. Could you set up an indoor tank to stock with the shrimp you buy. They’ll breed and you can stock the bog with shrimp from the tank until the population is the bog is well established? It could also be a source to restock it after cooler winter months. Several RUclipsrs have videos on inexpensive shrimp tank set ups. You could “decorate” it with rocks, twigs, and plants from your bog.
Maybe try bamboo/mountain shrimp? Neocaradina/caradina shrimp need particular water parameters and often die due to the change. Amano shrimp won’t breed in the pond because they need brackish water for the eggs to hatch! Maybe try an indoor aquarium where you can start your own colony? And when numbers start to get high, then release some of them into the pond.
I know for you guys if you’re used to no humidity 26% is a lot. I live in north Louisiana and I don’t know if you’ve ever been this far south in the US but we live with high humidity even in the winter months. The humidity in the summer on hot days is normally at least 85%+!! In less than a minute your skin is wet! Miserable! We have stuff to spray on our hair that helps maintain a hairdo. That helps but your face is shiny even when you powder over your base makeup. Nothing really helps for long. I feel your pain! Kevin did a good job cooking his hello fresh meal!
I suggest ghost shrimp. Amano shrimp are a caridina species of shrimp and require brackish water to breed. There are types of ghost shrimp that can breed in freshwater but they get lumped together so when u get some, make sure the breeder breeds them in freshwater
I live in West Central Georgia, we have been having Temperatures in the upper 90’s these last couple of weeks with Humidity in the 89-91 range.. I have traveled a LOT to Arizona and have been there when it in the 105-110 range. I can agree that it is definitely HOT, the difference is, when you even open the door and step outside here, the humidity just feels like it suffocates you. You can’t do anything without pouring sweat.. we went to the lake fishing last weekend and just sitting in the boat doing nothing, even with a nice breeze, we had sweat just pouring off us.. it is hot where you are, but it is definitely a different type of heat
I hope y’all have a great break!! I can wait for your breeding season. We’ve been on the look out for a new buck I’m not experienced with transport or paying online but I’ll see what I can do 😆
The best vanilla is from Mexico. A church member was from Mexico and had some family there that they visited each year and brought back a lot of vanilla and sold them to us at his cost it was cheap and so good only used drops instead of teaspoonful in recipes. They have since passed on and would love to get more.
😂 I was stationed at Luke AFB, AZ for several years and I understand how over 20% humidity feels so sticky! I'm a GA native, so grew up and currently deal with much higher humidity on the regular, but typically lower heat levels (usually below 100 degrees F). It's all what you're accustomed to - my grandmother in NH thinks 70 degrees F is shorts weather, and 80 degrees F is "too hot". LOL
Hahaha!! Luna's robbin the craddle!! 😃 Stay cool you guys....crazy summer temps are here! Going to be 111 here in Northern California over the weekend...blah!! 😃😃
This afternoon in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, we had matching numbers. Heat 83° and humidity 93%. Felt like I was trying to breathe soup! From NH, Patricia 👵🏻 😖

He also made a big difference to cleanliness - at one point I partitioned the tank because my goldfish were bullying my betta, and the side with one betta looked worse than the side with three goldfish and a pleco. My guess is something was off about the water conditions, and also you didn't have enough plecos to make a noticeable dent and either they weren't a breeding pair or whatever killed them also prevented them from breeding.
I like to make a frozen custard with our goat milk. Last week I made a batch with wild black raspberries, local honey and a Haitian vanilla we love plus a pinch of salt to bring out the flavors. It was SOOOO good.
We'd kill for 26% humidity tomorrow afternoon 92F at 60% humidity with a heat index of 107F🥵. We'll regularly get into triple digit temps with humidity in the 50-60% range. And mornings and evenings are 75-85 and 100% humidity. The heat is just sticky and there's no evaporational cooling

I’ve had a goat that was disbudded and managed to grow entire horns! They were a bit wonky looking though😂
My whole first set of bucklings that I disbudded grew horns!
@Weed.emAndReap you’re obviously a fake.. and if you are the real weedem and reap let’s talk through here 🙃
One of the goats that we bought had one source and now she's a unicorn 😂
Same here. Mine grew full crooked horns after being disbudded.
I never had a buck that was disbudded that didn't have scurs.
Those goats are so cute I wish I had them can I how much would I if I buy Willow how much will I have to be

YES! I was thinking the same thing try, 50 for sure. You can even breed shrimp yourself it's pretty fun.
I can not believe how BIG finnick got. Omg.. From that lil runt to the big stud he is?? Wow
Luna had me laughing like crazy with how "boy crazy" she is and then with the scratchers. She's a hoot. I love her so much.
I don’t comment much but Kevin seems to be such a great man, consider yourself lucky Danelle . Great father, great husband, and listens to wife’s orders lol!
Have good break With family and friends.
Luna is such a character. I’m so glad that she’s feeling frisky again. Fig ice cream sounds delicious. Have a lovely break with your family.
And looks delicious!
@@AutumnWcue-warriorcatsI’m Australian so maybe our grammar is a bit different.
I'm sorry to hear about the shrimp becoming a fish snack lol 😅 I hope you guys enjoy your break!! See you in August! 😊

I wish I had 26% humidity. It's 70 degrees at 10:30 pm with 93 % humidity. Talk about swampy air! I love our little hussy Luna 😆. She will never change ❤. Glad the scratch pads are a hit 👌. Enjoy your time off.
The humidity comment cracked me up! It’s currently 4:30AM in Indiana and the humidity is at 94% with clear skies!

Yeah
The humidity in our area…the Great Lakes, is often 100%.
Enjoy your vacation! We'll miss you, but it'll be great to start right in with breeding plans! ♥
As a AZ native like you guys, any humidity over 10 percent, I’m dying!
Have a great time with the activities you have planned and the family you'll be seeing. And before we know it, both Ethan and Lydia will be heading off to college.

Ohmygosh!!!! Ms. Luna is THEE cutest goat ever!!! Watching her with the new scratching brush tickles me !!! ✨💜✨. Sending love from Utah 100°
Yay today she made 2 dishes. I love it when she cooks or makes deserts 🎉🎉

I lived in Tucson with my military kids for about 7 years. When you get to Temps of above 100, it is irrelevant , you just melt, period!
That ice-cream 🤤 ❤ have a great break 😊
Finnick is a beast! Holy crap! I swear he was just Lancelot’s size😳 Happy summer guys!
His eyes are completely black, that is so cool.
I didn't realize he'd gotten so big either. Wow!
Luna has good taste.

"...it'll probably be Luna." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Enjoy your break!
26% humidity is pretty high! I'm from Alberta, Canada and in the winter we sit around 13%. I guess its all about perspective...
Love that Luna!!!
For kid names, you could do a flower theme 💮💮.
Enjoy your family💜😊🐐
Enjoy your family😃 the ice cream looked yummy
I hope y’all have a great break!! I can wait for your breeding season. We’ve been on the look out for a new buck I’m not experienced with transport or paying online but I’ll see what I can do 😆
I'm in Missouri and our humidity is 68% today. It's 87 degrees but feels like 96.
The best vanilla is from Mexico. This afternoon in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, we had matching numbers. Heat 83° and humidity 93%. Felt like I was trying to breathe soup! From NH, Patricia 👵🏻 😖
Here in middle TN the humidity is around 80 to 90% and the temp was 90°F lol love your channel
Oh wow! 😳
Here in Kerala monsoon going on we are kind of in our lows today only 92degrees and 84% humidity. We live near see.
Luna loves her a handsome buck.
Enjoy your staycation with family andfriends!! 💙🤗
25 humidity is so dry to what I have here in Louisiana, it's 95 here. HAHA!
9:46 My experience would indicate otherwise. I had a pleco in my tank and he outlived all the other fish and I never fed him.
Have a nice break.👍🏼🎶🎶🎶🎶
Currently sitting in the 70% humidity and sunny Alabama weather watching this and it’s fantastic weather over here 😊
I like to make a frozen custard with our goat milk.
103 with 26 percent humidity I about died laughing. In Michigan usually 90 degrees with 80 percent humidity it gets so bad when there's no wind u can't breath
Always excited for a new video!!
you guys are so lucky to be able to eat milk
As a Floridian I can tell you 26% humidity is low
Yeah right now we are at 96% humidity and a high of 91°. 😂 I’d dry up if our humidity ever got that low. In the winter our humidity gets in the 30s…maybe 20s and it is so dry and my skin suffers.
Luna loves the scratching post!
Enjoy your break, enjoyed today's episode..xx
Our humidity most all summer is 100%!
Enjoy your time off.🎉🎉🎉
Being in Louisiana, 26% humidity is a cool front🫣.
Luna will always be my favorite.💗 Her scratching on that pad was so cute. I just love her😍🥰😘
Glad you brought back the introduction song always loved it.
It's fair week for my town in Missouri and we have over 100 heat indexes with 70+% humidity depending on time of day. Please enjoy your 26% for us 😅
Exactly!!! 😂🤣
Aha! I was psychic with my previous question about replacing the brooms on the chicken coop.
Scratch away goaties!
💝Your ice cream looks absolutely delicious❣️
💝Happy holidays❣️
💝Enjoy your time with your family. 💝👍
