Thank you Rosie for bringing these two big people together and for your great interviewing.
    Michael, loving áll your offerings.
Coffee is quite acidic though - alkalinity being a key to a healthy bod.
fall asleep, with plenty dreams, on coffee
Monty, delighted to see you in this "place".
Good old British habit: when the Romans, as observed by Asterix and Obelix, invaded Britain, they found no-one to fight at 16:00 hrs... the Brits had disappeared into the fog for their
    cuppa 😉
Our gardening establishment being very conservative... oh so true! ; i wish the RHS would stop selling poisons, or King Charles would strip them of the "royal" epithet... unless "royal" intentions are just this: to toxify these beautiful lands (ahem).
    🙏🏽 🌳🕊💚

Really interesting discussion, especially around psychedelics as often the subject is avoided.

Looking forward to reading! The Omnivore's Dilemma opened my eyes as a college student and I have been interested in Pollan's work ever since.

Caffeine also expedites the effects of painkillers (particularly NSAIDs) to control headaches/migraines.

I have a beautiful Silene Capensis (African Dream Root) in my garden at the moment which flowers like clockwork each evening, and then the flowers kind of die off overnight... and then it produces more the following evening :)

you know if you smoke dope (meth) it only takes 1 hit. you'll be flying for a good 12+ hours. compared to 6 mugs of coffee a day, it is a lot more sustainable n green *_-

Hello, my name of Michael Pollan and I’ve run out of things to write about vegetables, so I’ve decided to become the K-Mart version of Timothy Leary. I can spout all the ridiculous catch-phrases about psychedelics from the 1960’s because the people born after that have never heard them, and a lot of the people from the 1960s are dead and won’t shout “What, this nonsense again?” I have full confidence I can pull this new career off. People are always looked for some alleged expert to give them permission to do what they shouldn’t be doing.
