Well there is an obvious reason for Tanjung Benoa's decline, despite the hype about the wonderful opportunity it afforded its neighbour and indeed the whole of Bali.
What is the obvious reason?
@@peterwest5661 I live in Indonesia so it may be imprudent to spell it out. But it concerns Nusa Dua.
@@TheMagicofJava Interested why. From my perspective Nusa was a expensive area and the shopping area was aimed at dumb Japanese. Tajung was cheap shopping and small good food warungs

Sol Beach Hotel in Benoa is awesome! Shame you didn’t show the hotel Damien. It is quiet and just how we like it! Been about 20 times and would definitely go again. Great hotel with great staff and food and drinks! The Pool bar is dangerous 😂
Well done guys. Coming 31st July. 7 days Seminyak 9 days Tajung Benoa. Loved that place. 14 Aussies 3 generations we will bring prosperity to the area.
We travelled from the Uk to Benoa last November , BUT since then the price has doubled , simply not worth it .. people lovely but there’s nothing there to do if you don’t like water sports . The area has been hit hard by covid and there were LOTS of places permanently closed . Also noticed lots of places in advanced states of decay .. That said we would return but not at the prices now being charged , Go there if you want a very quiet backwater of Bali , but be prepared for disappointment when it comes to things to do or any form of entertainment.
I stayed at the hotel Nikko , just after the lockdown there , Benoa is till looking a bit sad , I prefer Sanur
All those ugly fences along the street does not make it attractive..

Yes, I fully agree on The Royal Santrian villa's being an awesome place. Amongst the best places in Bali I've ever stayed!!
