Great overview! I noticed you said you had installed the 123ignition electronic distributor in your other cars. Do you think you'll be doing a video on installing those in a Classic Fiat 500? The instructions included and forum advice are a bit lacking. Thanks again!
Hey ... I'm sure I will at some point, but unfortunately, I have no plans to immediately. The beauty of the electronic ignition is once they are set up, you don't need to change them - so to show this, I would have to remove it and start the timing process over again. Obviously not impossible, but I have so many other priorities right now, that I can't imagine getting around to this for some time. Apologies.
Brilliant video

@@the500workshop No worries. Just need to know if the install is as easy as they say. Any tricks?
@@SteveLoJacono-bn7tm not specifically - they are pretty simple to set up.
How much vertical play do you have in the centre shaft?
At the cog end - almost none
At the top end I can lift it up 2mm but it feels sprung/tight - not lose (if that makes sense?)
@@the500workshop sorry yeah i meant at rotor arm end. 2mm sounds like mine, feels too loose but is all shimmed correctly so must be right
This is a great video for a broader overview on how the ignition system works ruclips.net/video/W94iksaQwUo/видео.html
