- Tara installs LED foglight bulbs, replacing the old halogen H8 bulbs for a brighter, whiter look on her 2007 BMW 335i e93.
You can find these on ebay. I got mine online but the vendor is no longer selling them. They are LED H8 bulb. 6000K.

This looks so easy! Now I wonder if converting the fog lights from halogen to led would be easy 😅
that's what she did, she installed LED bulbs. that's why she put those extra resistors on the wire before connecting to the car because that prevents the car from thinking there is a halogen bulb with the light out. With halogen, you don't have that extra wire/resistor. You can do it without the resistor but it will prompt an unnecessary and constant indicator light on the instrument cluster that says your fog lights are not working even if they are :)

I’m planning on installing led headlights and fog lights on my 2008 BMW 528i. Currently, my car is using halogen for my headlights and fog lights. And I would prefer to change them to LEDs. I have one question: In order for the cluster warning ⚠️ to not show on my dashboard, I probably need the extra resistors to attach to the wire, right? Please let me know anytime soon. Thanks

I got my headlights on my 2008 BMW 528i changed from halogen to LEDs. And the new LED lights are very great. I have the lights installed with the load resistors so the warning doesn’t appear on dash. I had to get another load resistor installed on the high beams because I was getting an intermittent warning. But now there’s no warnings anymore on my car. Everything is good. BTW my 2008 BMW 528i is a 6- speed manual transmission (stick shift). It’s fun driving that😊. So Tara, have you driven a 5 series BMW before or not? Or just only 3 series.

Hmm this was along time ago and I don’t have this car anymore. I think it did sometimes flicker a bit when it turned on.

Sorry it was just some cheap parts I got through an Instagram user who is gone now. But search eBay for LED fog light bulbs. They are from China I believe.

Sorry to burst your bubble but the 2700k halogen you had are much better than the "much brighter" 4000+ k led when it comes to fog...

TVTara - it has to do with the wave length of the light. The fog reflection angle is much higher for the cold white and blue light and instead of a better picture of the road you will get blinded by your own fog lights.
Regardless, it looks waaayyy better to have matching fog and head lights like our girl did ;-) Good job Tara!
