A little off topic, sorry, but can anyone recommend throwing shoes (shot, disc, hammer) that would accommodate a wide foot (like US size 10 1/2 or 11)? Especially if they're affordable?

They don’t really make wide shoes. I’ve got size 13 feet, and very wide too, but you’ll be hard pressed to find a wide shoe that fits you, much less one that’s affordable. Just make do with a regular shoe. First few weeks will suck big time, but over time the shoes will mold to your feet.

Adidas tend to have a bit wider shoe. It gripped better than Nike's for me as well and lifespan was longer.
