Hey bro! This is the most simple test, but also the most unreliable test. Ground, depth, material, position, sensitivity, and all sort of other stuff will show different on a teerain.. Also, if u hunt in US, or Europe.. there is a giant difference in material wich u can find in last 3000 years... genneraly lots of stuff affects ... We all love our machines, right? :)) Cheers from new friends and followers, a metaldetecting couple from southern Europe.. Big support! Happy hunting!
Hey mate yep totally agree this was mostly just for myself as I have both machines….I’m a fan of both minelab and garrett so I’m not really partial to either detector and the Garrett does have a bigger coil on it so it should go deeper. Thanks heaps for watching and happy hunting to you too 😊👍
I had apex for 3 years and now got nox 700 and the nox wins hands down and I'm using a 6 inch coil and on apex 8.5 and I'm pulling deeper target out of ground and finding more stuff with nox 700
Hey mate thank you so much for the sub 👍 it was an interesting little test…I’m going to do it again with a few different scenarios in the soil. Thanks heaps for watching 😊
Yeah the stock coil for the apex is pretty small, smaller than the 11” coil on the nox. I did a test with pj about a year ago with the stock coil….that was pretty interesting
Great test Andrew! That’s a clear difference, you know which one to stick with when doing certain areas! Well done👍😎
Thanks mate yeah the test mostly out of my curiosity on which detector punches deeper thanks for watching 👍😊

sexy red coil cova broooo😊. bloody good detectors ....top vid😎
Thanks bro I was mostly satisfying my curiosity on which detector had the best depth…might have to put it up against the 900 again 🤔 👍😎
Very interesting however for now I will stay with the nox 800. Cheers John
No worries John thanks for watching 😊👍
New subbie here friend. I should do some test myself. Thanks for the vid. Peace

Try the test again with the stock coil on the garrett

Can someone tell me how to set up Garrett Apex for the beach?
I use it in jewellery mode, one notch under full sensitivity and run it in MS (multisalt) mode. Hope that helps 👍
