  • An excerpt from 'Blackpool: Old Heart, New Face', taken from 'Corklore', a series of three documentaries produced for broadcast on Cork Community Television. The films explore three different areas of Cork - Bishopstown, Blackpool and Mahon - and ask how each of these areas has changed in recent years. Through personal recollections from local people and recent and archive footage, the story of each of these unique places emerges.

Fantastic video. I'm Welsh, born and bred, but lived and worked nr. Blackpool for 5 years between 2011 & 2016. Great to hear the lovely local accent again and also see so many places that became familiar to me during my time there.

If you guys that own this could respond here I'd really appreciate it. My Grandfather appeared in this documentary. His name was Jerry Riordan. He was reared in Milfield Cottages (the village). I would LOVE to get a copy of the full thing. Thanks a million!
