The lyrics definitely describes the thoughts in my head as of late. I've done some things in the past that really jeopardized my friendship with some people, and hopefully they could find it in their hearts to forgive me for those past mistakes. Okay, here's my thoughts on the band...first off, they are AMAZING. they are probably my favorite band of all time. Their most recent album was good, but just not the same. I felt like their music always had a hidden meaning and I have struggled to find that in Collapsible Lung. Don't Blink, however, is a great song on that album, but still just not the same. I think the Mmhhhh, and Forget and Not Slow Down eras were the best for them, musical and message wise. Just my two cents :)

The message behind Collapsible Lung is the entire album in itself. you listen to the first song don't blink, the lyrics are true to itself don't blink till its gone. the whole album goes by to reach the final song collapsible lung which goes back to relient k's roots. all in all they themselves said they needed to make this album just for the heck of it. it's not their true sound but they felt they needed to make it for themselves. the only two songs on the album were start and finish that sounded like them. their new album to be released spring 2016 will be the old them.
