When you're replacing the left tweeter there is a ground strap just the left of the speaker that should be checked for tight while you're there. Critical ground, many of these are loose on these trucks.
uh yes but the issue with that ground is that due to poor qc many people have sound dampening material between the ground and the chassis which often causes a lot of electrical problem when other chassis grounds go bad, the solution is to cut the sound deading material and its a real pita to fit sockets in there
I just did the 2ohm 6x9 fronts in my 2017 high country. Mid bass is cleaner and stronger. I did install sound deadening in the doors. Still have the rear doors and dash to do. Not looking forward to pulling the dash panel.
I was happy with the sound The speakers were a little louder than the stock speakers, I bet they sound really good with an amp paired to them. The power bass speakers have a good senitivity rating so they go good with stock power or amplified Maybe next time I’ll be able to try a powerbass amp on them and see the difference
How would you wire them to an amp I'm doing all new speakers and want to amp them do I need to tap into the wire harness or add new wire@@connectedcaraudio
Were these honestly a good upgrade? I’m waiting for them in the mail today. I won’t be amping them. I have a slight feeling I might be changing them just to change them haha, like they won’t be different at all.
He mentioned my mom, my sister, and my dad in this video. . . . 👍👍 gold star ⭐ excellent video/walkthrough.

Should probably disconnect the neg on the battery if you're going to work anywhere near the airbags....
So for the Silverado 1500 lt WITHOUT the Bose system you need the 4 ohm?
Yes

You swapped from the Bose system??
Thank you for listing the tool measurements needed!
Thank you for watching my video
Do you know the numbers on the set? I’m looking at 4 different options on Crutchfield. It looks like 2 come with the small tweeters and 2 don’t.
This video is goated
Where did you purchase?
Will a swivel socket work for the 7mm by the windshield g
If I remember right I couldn’t get mine in there towards the glass
Let me know if it does though so other viewers know
I was able to use a short socket and a 1/4" universal joint.
Are you happy with the sound of the speakers? Or does it have you wanting more power?

Was this a 2015 Silverado? the powerbass website doesnt explicitly say wether those tweeters fit on the 2015 model.
Try looking on crutch field
Crutchfield was what i was originally looking on and they dont seem to carry them@@FransiscoECruz

how are they?
@@asoutdoors276 I didnt amp them but they sounded worse than the OEM speakers I had. So I immediately returned them. Don't waste your time lol
Does the truck come with a factory subwoofer ? If so do you know its location? I’m getting ready to ship my speakers for Bose speakers, thanks
The base model trucks without the Bose system don’t have a subwoofer. The factory Bose system does have a center console 6 inch subwoofer.
No demo?
