I already understand how it works. But there's two problems:
1. I'm a facility main.
2. I main Colonial.
That said, I might have to go naval this next war, because naval in general requires higher technical skill, that I don't trust the rest of the team with. 🤣

To prove that I understand the system, I'm going to give a tangent example: You can also achieve neutral buoyancy via putting both the negative and main ballasts at 50% fill. By doing this, you can use the negative ballast exclusively to raise and lower the depth. The emergency ballast is the emergency ballast: LEAVE IT ALONE unless water is being taken on.

@@TarsonTalon That's a very interesting idea. However, you also have to bear in mind that the Main Ballast is at the submarine's center of gravity. The negative ballast is in front, so when it fills up, it should in principle tip the submarine forward. It's not said that you can easily compensate with the Main Ballast because it's in the middle. It really depends on whether the developers have realistically simulated gravity or not. It's something that will be very interesting to test during the Devbranch.
