The bridge is cool but it wasn’t born so much to prevent spills, but to make the process more efficient. If there were a valve at the end of the hose that the filler (employee) had to shut off, move to an empty barrel, turn on, fill barrel, repeat 100 times. It would not only take ~10% longer, he would also have to shut off the pump each time or have an accumulator (pressure) tank at the source, he would have extra bulk (and weight) at the end of the hose making the job harder AND he would likely end up with carpal tunnel syndrome!

Reasonable for what it is...but not very competitive compared to most “Louisiana” sauces like franks, Louisianan etc. Still no comparison though imo, so worth the higher cost. We use Tabasco typically for cooking and marinades...while thicker sauces like franks or Texas Pete is good for things like buffalo wings and dipping.
Tabasco kicks ass! Its one of a few hot sauces that has carried on the tradition from old and not changed from its roots. Thats why its still around and will remain around for yrs to come! Theres something to be said about these cos that stick to the basics and continue to pump out a quality product. Kudos to Tabasco for remaining true to what got ya here and hoping you stick to the basics for centuries to come!!!😎👍👍
I was raised in a Tabasco household, and to this day it is the only hot sauce I keep in my kitchen. This video was so much fun to watch, thank you to the content creators and to the McIlhenny family. 🍻

@@b.b.4831 thier marketing strategy is working lol.
Considering how much I love Tabasco, I enjoyed watching the process of making it. Jummmmm.
This whole video is just so wholesome
When I was in Vietnam during the LBJ fiasco which killed 58000 men, you could send your address to this wonderful company and they would send you back a round container with a free bottle of their sauce PLUS an illustrated comic book version of recipes where you could mix different ingredients from the C-Rations and create an interesting variation which, naturally required Tabasco sauce.
THANK YOU ALL AT TABASCO !! 👍😃
@Beaye that’s so cool :)
i don't like LBJ, but after you hippies made the usa get out of vietnam almost *100 million* people were killed by the communist in vietnam cambodia and china.
Cool
@Beaye you will notice that there are *3* countries on the list not 2.
china- 65 million dead
vietnam- 3-4 million dead
cambodia- 2-3 million dead(20-30%of the population).
@Beaye what are you even talking about, the chinese great famine that killed 36 million people happened between 1959-61. the us went to vietnam in 1955. the genocide in cambodia that killed 3 million people happened in the mid 1970s.
Flashbacks to my childhood and grandma putting Tabasco on my tongue for swearing lol
😂😂
I drank an entire bottle when i was a child .
jokes on her, I loved snacking on Tabasco out of the bottle since childhood
I thank you for your service!
Good production on the video and really interesting to watch enjoyed every second of the video
this guy sticking his fingers into 10,000 bottles of tabasco
im sayinn, i was looking for someone who noticed that lmao. My dude just stuck his fingers into some random dudes bottle of tabasco
It gets mixed with vinegar and processed further down the process line. Nothing to sweat really.
there is enough salt and vinegar to kill bacteria.
you noticed they never cooked the sauce? that is because vinegar is a natural preservative and will kill any bacteria introduced into the sauce
@@SENTlNEL yh but like what if dead skin cells and dirt went into the sauce from his hand :/

I was introduced to Tabasco when I was in the Navy while underway. Now I’m a lifelong fan.
I used it on my not-so-good food when I was deployed in Iraq for a year. As did probably 95% of the personnel I deployed with. Love this stuff! And, thank you for the tour, it was marvelous.
I've gained respect for the product after watching this. American company, helps farmers earn a living in South America, staying true to traditions and recipes.... gives employees pride of a job well done... they should all be proud
I agree, it's inspiring.
I still can’t believe“3 years of aging” like dam.

@@grammernotzi oh yea sorry
fun fact they said they send the seeds to mexico. but that chili is mexican actually. i dont know sounds kinda fake to me.
tabasco is a mexican state and this is where this chili came from
I wish Tabasco would offer a less diluted version of their sauce. I'd love to buy of bottle of straight three year old mash and I'd be willing to pay a lot for it.
@tobasco Get on this.
Give them a call, they might send you some...
Ok yoda
fleetlordavtar you have no taste
put the tabasco in container after a day most of the vinegar set on the bottom, the top portion is what you like,
I'm from Germany and I've been using Tabasco for many years now. One of my favorite sauces.
Love Tabasco over here in the UK! Keep up the great work
Who else wanted to see how they made their other line of sauces like the green jalapeno one. like if its the same process as the tobasco or its entirely different?
Cheap Cooking Channel we
same same but different
Tabasco is just the name of the brand. Their different sauces come from different peppers but I'm sure they use the same process for all of it.
Sammy Blaze Great comment sir. They hate us cause they ain’t us.
I am curious cause the amount of care and laborious process of having an entire island dedicated to growing pepper seeds and aged for three years. Do they do the same for the green sauce or the Chipotle and habenaro. Does it have more then just pepper and vinegar like the original sauce? Be interesting to see how they make all their product.
