- Hi guys in this video you will see the behind the scenes of pre judging and finals from tanning to stepping on the Zappa’s Theatre for finals of the Mr Olympia 2022.

Fan of yours since 2015 and rewatching this after your 2023 win. I remember watching this last year and being impressed by your humility after prejudging when you said "I was just beaten by better physiques" and after the show when you said "I've placed 8th, 7th, 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd, and 2nd...that's not too bad" This makes your victory all the more satisfying! Definitely the happiest I've ever felt for a competitor.
You Ryan I thought so too with the front posing but as always you kill it every time you go to the Olympia! Been watching you for a long time and man I really can’t wait till they name you Mr. O day you are well deserving of this title!!

Still till this day I do not know what the judges are looking for they change it every year and don’t get me started on the feedback they gave you. But the main thing is you done your family and supporters proud.

I’ve been in and around lifting including bodybuilding for decades. Trained with some top open class bodybuilders - even helping Tom Platz in one seminar - been to the IFBB Grand Prix etc. and, if I could do a “Take Home” body swap I genuinely think I’d choose yours at this level over any other. Ryan, you placed great but don’t get it twisted- you DO have a physique that can WIN the Olympia. We can all see your physique has leveled up. You’re leaner in the arms than usual this year- which I think was huge. Your back obviously grew a ton. Your shape is incredible. With the right posing and a taddd more growth you can absolutely win that title dude! I’d be mimicking someone like Diogo with their posing because he has a similar shape, though your abs are superior. Great work regardless man you’re a big inspo to guys like myself slowly working our way up the division 🙏🏼
Hi Ryan , well done mate , have been following your bodybuilding journey for years now, and your prep series 2022 was the best one to date. In my opinion you were the true champion in my eyes !!! Your physique represents what men's physique should look like, NOT the hugely muscled p hysiques that are becoming the norm over the last few years, however I appreciate and applaud these competitors too, however they almost classic guys without legs. Wishing you every success be it stage and business for 2023 , and one medal you. Win every day is being a decent down to earth guy , great husband and dad , and that's the best prize in the world !!!

Before you mentioned the judges feedback, I saw that pose throwing the flow you had off. However, 8th in the world despite one bad pose is great. Hopefully, you keep competing because you're all amongst the elite.

Dude, you looked epic and I'd say one of the best up there. Been a while since I was really into bodybuilding and stuff (20 years ago lol) but you looked amazing, plus have to say your shorts are the best on that stage, really helps shows your legs and helps the overall shape. Great work and never give up.

Absolutely amazing physique this is a perfect balance of not being overly too big. just shredded to the bone. Perfect conditioning, i can see why tho the judges didnt give you the nod on top 3 as they mentioned your posing is a bit non symmetrical with the side twist on torso maybe the judges havent seen that before but you are #1 in our eyes Ryan!

I have no idea how they judge physique but you deserved to be much higher in my eyes. A few guys ahead of you looked to have lesser physiques than you all things considered… balance, symmetry, muscularity and condition. Not to mention you have the best back and abs up there.Well done on the great attitude as always ✊️

Outstanding improvement in terms of your overall physique especially in the back region which was top 3 position, your conditioning was exceptional. When you are standing next to Brandon Hendrickson who should have been first place conclusively all day long one can see that you need wider shoulders, fuller chest and larger calves in my opinion. The competition is absolutely brutal but I genuinely believe that you can win the title in 2023. However Jeremy Buendia will come back in defiance to reclaim his throne but hopefully you can out work him intelligently and strategically. I think Richard from the Workout Mill can really assist you with your training and can be a positive critique.

(If you are comfortable enough to do it) if you do everything as they wanted from u and the result is still the same, it is not your fault anymore because the judging criteria have changed since Redmond's time. U has always been my inspiration for going out to the gym and changing my body even though I am still skinny 😂. Be proud of yourself.🎉
