Something to keep in mind is the bull bar, towbar and any other accessories (and canopy if you choose to install one) all add weight to the GCVM. Ideally keep as light as possible. Some new dual cab utes still have rear drum brakes!

Very good video. I’m really enjoying catching up on all the videos. Keep it up it’s too notch.

Nice choice Vaughan, we tow our eagle with a duel cab ute with tray and canvas canopy fitted out with duel battery and fridge. The pros with that is the lack of payload in the van is gained with the GCM of the tow rig. I cam throw everything in the back of the ute and not even come close to any limit 👌🏼

what i don't like about DCU is the weight on the tray is mostly behind the rear axle, then the tow hitch is a long way behind the rear axle.
best stability is achieved when weight is centralized. But as always it's all good till the s$%t hits the fan like then it all matters.

Such a good video!! This is literally the dilemma I’m dealing with at the moment. But I’m considering going the opposite way to you guys. I’m in a 2013 Hilux at the moment, and am in the car seat phase at the moment (1 and 1 on the way).
The Pajero is actually top of my list as the replacement. Do you have a timeline in mind for getting rid of your Pajero? And what the specs are on it?
