I am minimally observant and served in the IDF in the mid 1980s. The meals were separated into meat and dairy meals. The meat trays, plates, bowls and cups were red plastic and the dairy ones were bluish-green.
First - none of these images are from Netzach Yehuda. Second - any soldier in any battalion can request kosher meals and Shabbat observance. The accommodation here is the exclusion of women and that the unit be only ultra orthodox men - preventing one of the biggest benefits of military service which is diversity. They are also the unit that has been sanctioned more time than any other unit for acts of violence against civilians. Perhaps if they were forced to integrate with the larger IDF they might learn some social skills.
