I shop at Walgreens and have noticed that cashiers have been putting my items in the bag without the item being scanned. Usually, this happens when they scan an age-restricted product. An alert pops on their screen to check my ID, the scanner stops scanning, but they keep thinking the scan goes through. The alert on their POS doesn't provide haptic feedback so it takes a second for them to notice. Meanwhile I have a couple products in my bag that they didn't scan. I'm on guard now, so I end up catching it and reminding them, but I've definitely gotten home and noticed my receipt is missing multiple products that I walked out with.😅 Seems likely that my local store isn't the only store with this happening. I've had multiple different cashiers who have made the same mistake.
