🟪Adequate changes in lifestyle are the cornerstone for the prevention and treatment of hypertension. [TS]
🟪Advantage 1
lifestyle changes are fundamental for the therapy.
🟪Advantage 2
equivalent to monotherapy of medicine.
🟪Advantage 3
Adequate changes in lifestyle would be effective for some groups of subjects.
🟢 For grade 1 hypertensive patients:
it can prevent or delay medical therapy.
🟢 for hypertensive patients continuing on medical therapy:
it can contribute to BP reduction and allow reduction of the number and doses of antihypertensive agents.
🟪Conclusion
Appropriate changes in lifestyle would decrease other cardiovascular risk factors and improve several clinical conditions.
