I appreciate Shenseea's dancehall music, and I acknowledge her strategic decision to explore other genres. Artists frequently diversify their musical styles to expand their reach and appeal to a broader audience. Recognizing her pursuit of artistic growth and the exploration of different genres demonstrates a nuanced understanding of the evolving nature of the music industry. It is intriguing to witness artists like Shenseea navigating these creative transitions to engage with diverse listeners.
Exploring other genres may assist with diversifying the artist's catalog, but it doesn't always translate well when it comes to international appeal and catering to their core audience. One might consider that an artist's core identity and unique sound, which initially captivates their audience, also holds immense value. So, it is a strategic decision that requires careful consideration, as it might not always lead to a broader appeal, but could instead dilute the strength of the artist's brand if not executed with precision.
I have ultimate respect for her to confront all the rumors. I wasn't a 💯% fan but now I am. We as Jamaican should support her a 💯 because if she hits Jamaica hits.
I feel like maybe Shen's management had a hand in this. They don't want no dibby dibby patty shop bizniz pon har image. So basically, if he wanted the interview, he had to come right.
Dat is it... Ion know what's wrong with these haterssss. Yet they claimed "I'm no hater" lmaao. It is always okay if you seems like you want to give something a break and try something new....
4:24 now, the reason that if you go to the US for eg. and try to do R&B/Hip-Hop, it doesn't connect easily is because for ONE, it is NOT your natural genre and there are ways to sing, rap things plus what is said and how it is said. Might be easier to get one of them totally write a song and coach you in the booth. Another thing, if they didn't know you on the come up, there will be a disconnect. It worked for Sean Paul, Shaggy because they carried the Jamaican base with them using dancehall, that gave them a foundation that then pulled in the urban market.
Mi a Jamaican in America n mi love Shenseaa badddd ❤ ❤ yafuckk. The woman allowed to be a artist true to herself n experiment how she want. Can't box true artists in!!! Jamaican to di world

Shen completely right people think if your international you gonna go number 1 automatically and constantly have hits. As an American we have artist born and raised and still not on billboard and the songs are bops. It takes time & as talented as she is I’m sure she gonna achieve it. 🐉🐉
@@YaniFreshco I don't think anyone wants to dictate her life but rather understand the new direction that she's going in. Funny enough, those who are complaining or seem to be not supportive are actually her fans or persons who listened to her music. So they genuinely want to see her win but don't understand the direction and things she has said in the past have left a bitter taste in their mouths about her.
I do miss Shenseaa a lot nothing wrong with doing what she wants to do but I wish she would have done it before then maybe people wouldn’t feel like this now
You know, when me actually sit down and meds her mindset in the early parts of this interview, it really make me gain respect for her. Because she remind me of alkaline in terms of wanting to step outside the box with their music career. Some artist stay in the comfort zone and maintain them ratings and fans and try avoid constant criticism, by sounding the typical way and content and style of music but when artist step out of the typical dancehall styles and experiment and flow with lyrics a when you know artist a musical genius.
Mi say this already and mi ago say it again, when a artist flop u will never hear there name in the media or in the streets. So from people a say u flop and a call u name that mean u nuh dem just really love u and want more work from u.
Shenseea made very valid points! Good interview...you might not realize it but you & others have helped to foster the hate against her with your negative comments even if that wasn't your intention. You & dancehall "fans" need to be more mindful of being negative and hypercritical of her & other Jamaicans. She is entitled to step outside of the box & grow, without being labelled a sell out. She's doing well imo & she has the potential to do better. I'm glad that she & Rvssian patched things up. It's not abt fans wanting more dancehall from her b/c some ppl aren't constructive in their criticisms & are just hateful. Also, I don't blame her for not engaging in clashes or online mix up. As Sean Paul said clashes aren't uplifting, even if it's entertaining for dancehall fans. As Rvssian said, the world at large like what is sonically pleasing, so she's right for not catering to one diaspora. While I prefer her local accent, I don't get why ppl criticize her for twanging yet they stay praising Rihanna. As a ppl we need to have a better mindset. Shenseea, keep taking the high road.

Jaii a kill me with this Tequilero commercial 🤦🏽♂️
First time watching a full episode. This was honestly great 👏🏽
Definitely think we should be more patient with her and support her. Cuz if she go mainstream mainstream they everybody aguh jump pan di bandwagon. Look how much Trini love Nicky and how much bajans love Rihanna and they don’t make their cultural music. Shensea could be that for Jamaicans.
Because riri and nicki didn’t start out with there culture music
Rihanna first few songs were Reggae @@zion9146
@@zion9146so why do Jamaicans love riri when a dancehall she started doing first
I really love shenseea such a lovely girl deserves everything and more how could anyone hate this lovely girl
Always proud of her growth and what she has accomplished.
Great interview! Shenseea is truly amazing and Jaii is an amazing interviewer!

Have a different level of love & ratings for Shenseea ❤. Love this interview bro 🫡💯
Enjoyed this interview. Professional on both ends and I’m looking forward to hearing more dancehall hits! Excited to see the next album. Want a remix of hit and run too.

Loved the interview.. good job under the circumstances Jaii..🎉
Shen I like the way how you constructed your words. A great talent to be reckoned with. ❤
we miss Shenseea as a Dancehall artist😭who did love shenseea like me?
She can only flop if she allow herself to flop, when you are doing buisness you take risk and the only failure is when you stop pursuing your dreams.
Talk truth, you can't be too comfortable in life sometimes you got yo get uncomfortable to get things going
Not flop. In Jamaican terms. Flop is the record company America term. The gave her a loan and I’m pretty sure they didn’t make the money back off the loan.
@@starlightjones3600 still not flop at least she can learn from it, and know what to sign off on next time around, all apart of learning to become better.
@@marlenebrown3550 💯 if you want to grow.
What is flop to yall? Cause how she flop in seeing her all over doing her thing... what and how is she flop
The numbers keep climbing! I came here 30 mins ago with 15000 ppl now it's 26000 people! And counting!😄😀 #maddest #podcast #neva #di #saddest #podcast!💥
Facts, they will never see the bigger picture.
Cute interview… LOVE Shen…wasn’t giving let’s be honest tho. Feel like I was watching a whole diff show. We need RAW& we need the couch & curtain!
Ah true right!!
I feel like maybe Shen's management had a hand in this. They don't want no dibby dibby patty shop bizniz pon har image. So basically, if he wanted the interview, he had to come right.
#BusinessProfessional
As a shen yeng fan weh a support uh from reverse days you will never flop ‼️Try new things babe and come bk wen uh ready your new song is a hit 🔥🔥
Loved this interview 👍🏽 big up Shenseea for Hit & Run, song is definitely a hit! 🎉
Jaii, you’ve showed so much respect to Shen in this interview. Keep this energy for all your other guests too. Thank you.
Hasn't he always
The streets need that Masicka interview 💯

Mi a Jamaican in America n mi love Shenseaa badddd ❤ ❤ yafuckk. The woman allowed to be a artist true to herself n experiment how she want. Can't box true artists in!!! Jamaican to di world
I love the production of this video! the camera angles are A1 👏🏾
Needed this bridge, gained a new perspective and respect for her nw.
Yow Jai love what you do and I understand there are business agreements that you have to adhere working with these brands like tequilero but gosh try mek dem easy up on the ads or just have 1 clip talking bout di brand and then we get back to the interview. Great work as usual, great interview, stay up. 🔥🔥
Shen completely right people think if your international you gonna go number 1 automatically and constantly have hits. As an American we have artist born and raised and still not on billboard and the songs are bops. It takes time & as talented as she is I’m sure she gonna achieve it. 🐉🐉
She sell out .. all r soul gone
Exactly... Many Jamaicans are crabs Inna barrel. Same thing they did with Sean Paul and Shaggy.
@@Chxsecash45 she didn’t, y’all just wanna dictate the woman’s life . Live your own.
Everything is not for everybody. She’s still been doing number and she’s gaining more fans then she’s losing.
Am so proud of jaii honestly he has came a far way ,guys never stop subscribing 🎉
I love her I feel her humbleness so much her music is 🔥🔥people need to leave her alone she dope….
I love jaii interviews !! Always funny and ask the right questions
As a Shen zen fans. Brilliant interview. I hope now them can leave her to continue to do her thing. 🙏
As a libran we go to the source no time for unnecessary cussing or beating around the bush...keep shining Shenseea❤❤
Just the way we are

Yup 👍 straight to the source
I do miss Shenseaa a lot nothing wrong with doing what she wants to do but I wish she would have done it before then maybe people wouldn’t feel like this now
Thing is u can’t please everybody sometimes u gotta take a chance on yourself and everyone might not like it
of course nothing against her not my type of vibe but defo do what makes you happy and what you enjoy @@Star-qv3lu
OD pon the Tequilero advert them nah lie, me appreciate the sponsors but it a O.D..... Jaii appreciate the work you a put in
You know, when me actually sit down and meds her mindset in the early parts of this interview, it really make me gain respect for her.
Jaii love the podcast and don’t let the heaters bring you down just content to do your thing and move forward in life
Mi say this already and mi ago say it again, when a artist flop u will never hear there name in the media or in the streets. So from people a say u flop and a call u name that mean u nuh dem just really love u and want more work from u.
Love you too Shen! Change is necessary in order to grow.❤
just start the interview but the chemistry is crazy 😂
Fi real Shenseea don’t let anyone make you feel like you can’t explore a different genre, it’s what you feel as an artist at that moment.
Exactly some Jamaicans are just hateful and crabish.🦀🇯🇲
