It would be great to study there, unfortunately all the culinary institutes in Japan only offer instruction in Japanese (need at least N2 level). I think foreigners who don't speak Japanese may be best to study a culinary course in English first, and then use that knowledge to extend their expertise to Japanese cuisine also. Some schools such as the Culinary Institute of America include a course on Asian cuisine in their diploma.

Actually this coming semester they have a one time deal where Tsuji (father) is teaching a class on japanese cuisine in the culinary institute of america, (I would LOVE to take it and I don't have any spots open in my curriculum for next semester!)

Japanese cuisine is definitely the hardest Asian cuisine to cook, mostly because the sushi formation. Good thing, Tsuji Culinary Institute is one of the leading culinary schools in Japan.

Ignore the idiots coments it was a good question, I can almost predict a new partnership kinda deal between the culinary institute of america and Tsuji school coming soon, Tsuji father is teaching a special class next semester at the culinary instute as a on time deal, and you can also do your bachelors on culinary arts with a concentration in asian cuisines at the CIA where you do a semester in the singapore campuslearning all asian cuisines

For some people, cuisine is everything and they strive for perfection. Same can be said about fashion or music. It is not stupid to want to become a master.
