I just learned about this a month or so ago. I've known this guy since high school, we got part time jobs together after school, his mom set up a joint bank account for him, and placed 1/3 of his pay checks in savings, 2/3 went into checking. After graduation, he went into the Marines, 4 years later, he went to work, and worked for forty+ years. He always put his paycheck in the checking, basically forgetting about the savings. This year he's 62, and the company he works for decided to get rid of the old timers, he's out the door with a pitiful retirement pay out. So he decided to move were it's a bit cheaper to live, went to his bank to close it out. They reminded him of the savings, and accumulated interest of 40+ years. He said this is the best surprise he's gotten since his kid was announced. Lesson: Savings accounts add up if untouched for your working life.
I like the bank story. In the US if the plane is delayed a specific amount of time the airline has to offer the customer compensation, sometimes a large amount of money.
The last flight I took also had a delay in boarding... The delay was caused by a failure in some piece of equipment on the plane and Maintenance was fixing (or replacing, not sure) it... I had ABSOLUTELY no problem waiting patiently for the plane to be fixed...I had my KOBO Ereader so I was happy with my library of books and I'm NOT a fan of heights (I don't even like stairs all that much and absolutely REFUSE to climb a ladder) so anything that keeps the aluminum cigar from falling uncontrollably while I'm inside it is a VERY, VERY good thing in my opinion... The plane left Orlando Airport 25 minutes late and arrived at Pearson Airport 10 minutes late...I still made my booked appointment to catch my Airtaxi ride home on time... 😄😁😆😅😂🤣
I had storm damage to my roof. When the adjuster gave me a check it was made out to me and the finance company. My house was paid off. I went to my bank and they said they couldn’t sign it since they were no longer a party to it. Eventually the check expired. I was reluctantly given another check. The adjuster refused to accept that my house was paid for. Went back to the bank got someone in the mortgage department to agree to endorse the check to me. They lost the check. The adjuster refused to issue a new check. I had already paid the roofing company out of pocket. I then initiated a lawsuit against the insurance company. It’s been over a year since this started. I got a call from the higher ups in the company and told them my problems. They told me this all went against policy and cut me a new check right away. The adjuster? Looking for a new job.
Banks have some ridiculous, and often illegal policies. I had a bank try to refuse to cash a check drawn on their bank solely because I didn’t have an account. The second I mentioned a lawsuit, they caved and cashed it. I don’t play that game. If it’s drawn on your bank, they MUST cash it.
1975 I was flying from Clark AFB Philippines to Travis AFB via Japan and Alaska. In Japan when the door was shut there was a indicator error. 30 minutes later we took off. I don’t remember any gripes. Of course it could have been that we were all military or military dependents.
Last Story: At least the wife is smart as if the husband go through with what he said he'll get in major trouble as OP can sue him for violating tenant law as dirty curtain and weed on lawn isn't enough reason to with hold deposit.
Got that bank, and your airplane story was hilarious. Thanks a lot, you seem to have good timing I needed that. You have a great rest of your day and thanks again!
Yeah but it's not their responsibility to get the lien release from the loan company it's the purchaser of the vehicle that got the loans responsibility to get it not the company to get it to the customer
Ummmmmmh.....repainted DIRTY walls?!?!?! Am I to assume that OP never washed said dirty walls, before repainting them? Paint is not static. The molecules in paint move. Sooner ir later, said stains will be brought to the surface layer of the paint....and, said stains/blotches/marks will be seen again. Until such time as the paint is striped down to the original stain and said stain is removed, the stain will continue to make its' way to the. Outward facing surface of the paint and become visible over time. OP getting long term malicious compliance on that male landlord?????
Architecture story: The misogyny is strong with this one. First class story: Another reason not to be rude to people who can actually help or do you dirty depending on how polite or not you are to them. Landlord story: So did you actually get your money back? It would have been nice to know.

But IRA's add up much more.

Airline story: This is why you DON'T p*** off flight attendants! They will either make your life miserable or boot you from the flight.

Especially with most of a month left where they'd still had it rented...
Airline story, I just can't help but feel sorry for the other people in coach that had to listen to that guy for the whole trip.
Thanks again

Narration quality is becoming very poor. Why not read what is shown rather than changing dates and quantities, amongst other things?
How did she get hold of your apartment keys ????
In some cases, with apartments, they'll redo the locks when getting new tenants...which can be charged for in a lot of cases

Good afternoon all
American flights don't have first class seating.
Lock Trump up!

For what? Not taking millions in bribes like the Biden crime family?
