When is it ever ok to treat people like this. To dehumanize them with stereotypes and to cripple them with your hateful beliefs. I am thoroughly sadden by this, and the comments I see. Most people can't watch a video and sympathize with others, sometimes you have to go through what they do to understand.
We have Gypsies in America. In fact, in some places they own whole estates full of them. But we don't throw it in their faces that they are Gypsies and scapegoat them that way. If they screw up, they get bagged for their wrong doing, but we don't say it is because they are Gypsy. And I don't know of any of us here bulldozing their homes or forbidding them from using the roads. Why do we have fewer problems with our Gypsies than you have with yours? Could it be bc of how you are treating them?
So if I go and build a house in France without paperwork and permission and they kick me out and knock my house down, does that make the French racist or a democracy that expects you to abide the law of the country??!!
Why do you think gypsies show criminal behaviour? Because they are not given a chance to work with people or to have their own land for agriculture. Personal experiences might be bad but if you look at the bigger picture you will see that gypsy people have been persecuted for decades.
I've had my home broken into and robbed many times and all of the persons involved had English ancestry. So, you really can't make these kinds of broad statements. When you do, you just sound ignorant yourselves.
I'm not saying be weak. I'm not saying tolerate stealing. I'm saying be strong without being abusive. If you are being abusive, then they have a right to return the same to you. You must be the bigger person. Start by removing the hostile and condescending posturing and be sure you are not causing their behavior by bulldozing their homes and denying them legal means to earn a living or you will get what you get. They are going to take care of themselves one way or another. The way is up to you.
I will say that I have never met a Russian Gypsy (that I know of). But I have met plenty of Russians and the last group I ran into were White Russians from the Kingdom of Georgia. They were running a moving company and they stole more than half of my belongings and held me up for ten thousand dollars for the move. So, my opinion of Russians in general is not all that good. I am inclined to believe that the Russian Gypsies have just decided not to be out done by the White Russians.

When it does, you have passed the border where depreciation, lack of opportunities even segregation and racism may become the de-facto answer to "contain" the perceived (general) problem. One must keep in mind that many gyspies work (for those who want to see, there are plenty you can see in the streets of eastern Europe cities) and keeping hope and an opened mind may be a first step to a solution [progress are however slow in human life / I can understand]

Yep-they use things like wood alcohol(Methanol) & that's SO dangerous! If it doesn't kill you, it can blind you & worse. Moonshiners here in the States sometimes used that. I don't know if racing (cars) is big in the UK but, NASCAR started because of the young guys who would race ahead of the G-men in their "souped-up" cars. And thus, the South created a stupid sport. LOL! I had a friend who had relatives from Kentucky. He brought back some REAL 'made back in the woods' moonshine once. I got a buzz just sniffing it

I am 1/3 European, but also part-Gypsy, and I am ashamed at how the Europeans (includes Russians) behave.
