Had a great time there. Stayed for a week. After 2 nights there is nothing much left to see. Things get repetitive. But I liked it post that too. Its post 2 nights you feel like a native there. The locals (the Walk Street staffs) recognize you. You build a bond there than just being a tourist. 😊

Just be aware, the Railay Great View Hotel, is just on the route of the longtails boats, it means that the engines of the long tails will blow your head. I stayed there last year, and that is the only thing that bothered me. The boats start passing at 6am till midnight. That’s why the hotel offers you tampons.

I am going to Krabi next week..Assuming wet season, is it good to stay in Railay for 2 days or should I stick to Aonang or Mainland Krabi? TIA..

So many great hotels to choose from. Thanks for the info. The prices are great as well. I am not sure honestly which one I would choose if I was in your shoes to stay at for more than one night. I prefer long holidays in 4 star hotels. I have stayed at some 5 star hotels mainly in Europe and have not been too impressed with a lot of them.
Interesting!! We really loved doing this trip and visiting different hotels. It was fun getting to change it up every few days! We will definitely do it again 🙃

Its better to mention which months you stayed at the first hotel for example. I checked it for january 2025 and its 189$ and not 54$

It depends what you’re after! Railay is more quiet. Ao Nang is easier to explore more of Krabi 😊

Railay beach is so extremely overrated...it absolutely crowded with tourists, the beach has almost no shadow and you pay 20 Baht for 2 tiny bananas...the tourists of Railay Beach are the definition of walking ATM's.
It's not even worth a night.
Where do you recommend for a nice quiet beach place?
@@mjara74 Actually, for the area of Krabi, I sadly don't know. Just try to avoid highly touristy areas.
Although I can recommend Tonsai Beach, which ironically is the same half island as Rayley beach, but its ab-so-lute-ly empty there besides a few mountain climbers: The beach is beautiful, but you have no shadow either. If there's ebb, you cannot swim whatsoever. I think, for three quiet days, Tonsai beach is perfect. (Warning: I cannot recommend trying to get from Railay Beach to Tonsai beach when you are not at least a bit sporty, have very good shoes and little to know extra baggage. It can be dangerous)
For the main land of Krabi, if you find a nice quiet beach, please let me know ;)
If you search for a quiet beach close to Bangkok: Try out Hua Hin. You can get there by bus in about 5 hours for not much money.
