- Laptops are filled with so much dust. At least once in a month, it should be cleaned to improve performance, reduce lag, dispense heat easily, speed up the work process. The Msi gl65 leopard I opened and cleaned the laptop. Also, I shown how to add or remove ram in laptop, and SSD,some more components. This video is also helpful for how to remove back panel of any laptop preferably all msi laptops.

Came here to take a quick look on back lid screws and clips location . Instead was watching for 6 min how the trying to open the case. 5:53 that's definitely not the right way to take off the back lid.
Thank you very much for the detailed instructions opening the case. I am planning that too for cleaning and maybe upgrading when the warranty expires (on my GL65, there are 1TB 2.5" SSD and 16 GB RAM).

I never replaced till now. I'm continuing with that only
It's somewhat daunting since there's a lot of chips with paste and it felt like I would lift a chip. I just finished repasting a hour ago on mine.
I would use it for a while to let the paste heat up before doing it. Try wiggling each side at the fan til they loosen up, then wiggle the center of the heatsink.
You will need a lot of paste so I would get 2 types, 1 good paste like Arctic MX-5 for the CPU and GPU, and a cheaper paste if you like for all the VRAM and power chips that need it.
Be careful, there's pads for the power chips above the CPU, so don't rip them up and would apply a little paste to them to fill any gap the pad might miss.

May be you're using almost all ram. Upgrade your ram. You can see much difference

Yaa for me too it maded some trouble. But I tried with slightly movinng opposite side with mobile opener. It opened. But don't be in rush or frustrated. It will open. All you want is patience!!

What is the thickness of the GL65 Leopard thermal pad?
I don't have any instruments to measure
If it seems like everything has popped free but you still can't get the back off, there's probably a screw hidden underneath a sticker. Ask me how I know.
Looks like you might be able to add in another m.2 bay, it's located right under the RAM section because I see bare solder pads for the connector. I have a GL65 Leopard 10sek with the 10750H and rtx 2060.
MSI left off the m.2 bay in mine where you have yours install. If you can do micro soldering or know of someone, you only need a few components, 8 data caps, 2 power caps, m.2 connector, and a surface mount stud for the nvme drive to be screwed down to. The 8 data caps are easy to locate, but IDK where the 2 power caps are located for that m.2 bay.
If your BIOS supports another m.2 drive, then it is worth the mod upgrade. I have a SSD for my OS, the new m.2 location holds my 2TB SSD for my games, and a 2TB HDD for the 2.5 SATA bay.
can you help me sir ?i planned to change my thermal paste of same laptop after a long time before go to aboard my laptop was really fine but still i gave to technician to change my thermal paste but after they return my gpu acted so abnormal whenever i plugged in my laptop fps drop from 140 to 10 butwhen plugg in its stable at 60 and when i asked them they couldnt fix it :(
It's mostly not due to the thermal paste. In dragon center change the performance and try. Also, update the graphics driver in Nvidia. If these all not working, then they did something wrong while applying thermal paste! (May be accidental damages etc..its my pure assumption. note that.)

I have the same laptop and I've gotten a 2.5 inch crucial MX500 sata ssd for it. What all do I need instead of the SSD to upgrade it. Also, there was another slot below the ram slot which says PCIe, is that also for the SSD
MSI left the components that support another m.2 drive there but if the BIOS supports a 2nd m.2 it is possible if you have the skills to add in the parts and if there are the bare pads, so models will be different.
MY GL65 had the bare pads where his m.2 drive is and I soldered in the components. Now I have a dedicated m.2 bay for my games.

But I have a doubt, actually I noticed that this laptop has 3 vents for the air to exit from the laptop but I found out that when fan is on full speed, air is coming out only from 1 vent...

Air will come 3 vents. But max air is pushed from left side vent. Mine also having same. So don't worry. You can observe some heat is blowing from remaining two vents. But not much as left side!🤗
