When i first went on the road back in 1969 my passion was motorcycles and over the years i have owned and ridden scooters, vespas and lambrettas, still riding today ( Royal Enfield 650cc) at the ripe old age of 71 but the worst accident i was involved in in which nearly cost my wife her life was in a car !!! (Not my fault) so take care however you travel and ride and drive safe everyone.
Great Video Matilda I Had Two Lambretta Scooters When I Was 11 Years Old One Only Ran Once Then The Cluster Gear Broke Thats How We obtained The Second Scooter My Late Father Took It Apart And Checked The Cluster Gear On It Found Out it Was Broken Also so After My Father Died I Sold Them Both😢 I Really Enjoyed That Video😊
When you turn 16 you can legally ride a scooter ( 50cc moped restricted to 30mph) I had great fun on mine back in the day but I can understand why your Mum wouldn't like the idea. If I was a parent I'd make my kids wait until they were old enough to drive a car on the road instead
Matilda listen to your mum lol .. keep yourself safe… when I was 16 I wanted to by a Yamaha FS1E which a lot of my mates had back in the early 80s … my Dad really put his foot down and didn’t want me to have one… he had had a scooter himself … but I’m glad he talked me out… have heard of some bad experiences … .. focus on getting to do your driving test you’ll enjoy a car more . sorry I don’t want to be a killjoy lol… just you take care of yourself lol 😂❤
That was mostly a nice video Matilda, although i thought the guy's on their knees changing the flat tyre were quite dismissive and ignorant. I don't know what sort of preparation you did off camera but maybe if you quickly go around the group, introduce yourself and tell them what you are doing, maybe they would be more receptive? Get yourself up to the brew and butty van at Devils Bridge at Kirby Lonsdale on a dry Sunday and you will find literally hundreds of motorcycle riders as opposed to scooter riders. With a few words to tell them you are doing a video to promote motorcycling in a good light, they will talk to you all day about their bikes, their kit, their experience etc.
I never film anyone without asking unless it’s an event. You don’t have to get permission by law but I just think it’s common courtesy. So business card given and all knew, may have just been a bit stressed having to get off on time. 😊

Yeah she doesn’t want me on one and with her been not well I don’t want to give her the stress, she worried enough when Billy started driving a car 🚗
We do it when being 15 in Sweden for a 50cc and 16 for a 125cc. Take care.
