This is the first Android game I ever actually paid for and the fact that you're playing it here is giving me unprecedented levels of nostalgia for a game I scarcely remember.
@@Damien_Paxton the concept is simple but effective, and the aesthetic is just lovely! Fully happy we got this video, brings back a lot of happy memories of stress and discovery haha
This whole game series has such good puzzles!! I love the overarching story as it is Eldritch-esque terrors. The 3rd and 4th games are my favs so I hope you continue to play these 😍
This reminds me so much of Myst & Riven. Played them with my Mum as a kid & she always figured stuff out first but would pretend she didn't so we could work it out "together". Some of my most precious memories! 😭🥰
@@damienjohn If you're computer savvy enough (I'm not, but my parents are,) you can also set up a virtual machine that emulates the old OS that Myst and other old games can run on. The only thing that stops your computer from running those old games is that new OS versions have a different directory arrangement, so when the game makes calls to things like the graphics card and the sound card, they're not where they're "supposed" to be. The virtual machine (I'm struggling not to call it a DOSBox, but that's one form of it, for games like Zork that ran on DOS) is essentially a switchboard rerouting the calls made in the old OS to the new OS' appropriate directories. ...I know a lot about it but not how to do it myself, as I said. All depends on whether the time it takes to figure out an set up a virtual machine/OS emulator is worth more than 6 bucks to you, since Steam and GOG essentially have the game prepackaged in the correct system emulator already.
LOVE that you're playing this! And the fact that you can create content with a game like this, keeping us captivated throughout, is a testament to how good a RUclipsr you are. Hopefully you enjoy it enough to play the sequels, even if it's in your own spare time.
The game speaks for itself. The game itself is captivating. She didn't add anything particularly unique to the experience. No comedy or insight or personality. What are you referring to?
Revelations 6:05: "When he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a black horse! And its rider had a pair of scales in his hand." Famine: the Third Horseman of the Apocalypse.
oh my god, i had so muchh fun playing this game! And there's another three games ( room2, room3 and the room old sins) i hope you play them all and have fun! They're all amazing
I found this so relaxing and actually fell asleep while watching this last night. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE games like this. I mean, but who doesn't love a good puzzle game, am I right?
Hell YES! This game is honestly amazing, I fell in love so fast when I played it. I haven't finished the video yet, but I hope anyone who comes across this loves it too and possibly plays the other games in this series
This is one of my favorite games of all time! I feel like it gets so little attention on RUclips and it's sad! I love that amidst all the spooky, very "serious" tone of the game, Gab's commentary is just like "Oooooh, pretty stone! Oh look, planets! Cool, a piano! 😍" Makes it all the more fun to watch!
Omg I literally just watched your old playthrough of this game a few days ago! I'm so happy to see you replaying this because it's one of my favorite puzzle games of all time and I hope that now that your channel is bigger more people will play it and love it like I did
I was fifteen minutes in and almost fell asleep, but my dreams were so wild, this game boosted my imagination stronger than a full week writers retreat in Iceland
I am so happy to see Gab playing this game! My friends and I discovered it during quarantine and we've been playing it together using Discord to stream it to each other. We've completed the first 3 games already and will be starting the 4th soon but we've taken a detour to the VR game first. The entire series has been a blast and I hope she continues with the other games.
I've never done this before but I only watched the first 5 minutes and then went and downloaded the game myself!!! If I get stuck I'll be back to watch more!
ahh not to be that person (and maybe you already know), but theres actually four games! they're most recent, The Room 4: Old Sins, came out a couple years ago. there's also an entirely separate VR game too. i highly recommend playing/watching Old Sins - it's so good! :D
The third installment in my opinion is the best, because it hits different then the others. But i agree, TR Old Sins is captivating and amazing as well.
I've been slowly playing my way through The Room series, it brings me great joy to see that you're finally starting it! Hopefully you'll play the rest of the games!
Oh man the room games are so good! glad you are playing them. That series was the first time I ever willingly bought games on mobile. I just played the vr one last week and it was fantastic, It is a must play after finishing the other four.
Lol, at work browsing through YT recommendations in Jan 24. Thanks for the reminder, I got a Quest 3 a couple of months ago and I had forgotten I bought the VR Room a while back 😊
I adore these games! I remember playing the first one when it came out, and I devoured that thing in one sitting. I actually felt sad beating it because it was over too soon. I intentionally spaced out the subsequent sequels, but I still want more.
I am so freaking excited to see Gab play this game!!!!! This is one of those games i own on several platforms that I play over and over again and never seem to get tired of. So excited!!!!!!!
I think what I like most about your videos other than the actual content itself, is that you just seem like such a comfortable and easy going person. Your videos are really good to just sit back and relax with and enjoy some alone time for me. I appreciate that about your videos.
I'm so glad you decided to play the room. It's one of my favourite puzzle game series with a nice story , unexpected betrayal. I love this game series. Please play other games of this series too.
I can't remember how many times have i fallen asleep peacefully watching Gab playing some cute games. Not because it's dull, but because she has such a calming aura about her videos and as a person. Ready glad i started watching her videos. Whenever anxiety hits, i know who's content to turn to
There's also a game called the House Of Da Vinci 1 and 2 that is literally the same exact style as the Room games. Thought they were by the same people but nope
OMG! YES! You're playing one of my favorite games of all time! The story is so cool and spooky and mysterious if you continue playing the series! Yay! So happy! I hope you enjoyed it enough to try the next ones too! P.S. I played the series (not including the new VR game) on an iPad originally and recommend to new players the touchscreen controls over the PC mouse and keyboard version if you have a choice. However, I've since played the PC versions and they work really well too. So it's really just up to what platform you have available and prefer. The puzzles are slightly different in a few spots between the versions (e.g. puzzles that had you tilt screen around were changed to work with PC and such). To anyone who hasn't played these games, I so so so recommend giving them a try on any platform. Have fun!
Please play the rest of the games! They only get trickier, and the puzzles are much bigger, not being confined to 1 box. There's more story too. Can't wait to see more!
AHHHH this is one of my favorite game series!! i've been binging so many of your playthroughs as a more recent fan (stardew, resi, song of horrors, bunch more lol), but i was so exited when i saw this uploaded today :D new puzzle game to chill to lets gooooooooooo
Watching this brought back so many memories of long train rides playing this on my phone. This is sooooo good please play the sequels. Keep up the awesome job you do :)
At 6:16, you can see the rest of the code on the left wall of the box. I have played through all 4 games at least 5 separate times, and just noticed this! 🥲🤣
I’m so excited and happy to see you playing this game!!! It’s still one of my favorite games!! It still gives me old Myst vibes! I still sometimes go back and play it from time to time myself. This one and the second one are so much fun to play!!
i played this all the time as a kid, no way!! i missed the music so much. thank you for reminding me of such good times, even if i had to keep looking up how to solve all the puzzles :)
Love this game and the others too (Room 2, 3), but especially love the VR version Dark Matter - I hope they do more of those. Thanks for sharing your experience here!
I was so excited to see you play this game, it’s one of my absolute FAVORITES. The first game can be beat pretty quick, as you did, but they get more complex as they continue. I really really hope you play (and upload?? 🥺🙏🏼) the other 3 games as well, they are so fun and I would love to finally see someone else play them!
Oh thank goodness, you found the Room games. I have all 4 of them. These games got me through a few hurricane power-outages in the past. I LOOOVE these games. This will be awesome! (clicks play) Lets do this!

This has to be my all time favorite puzzle franchise!! Great to see this here. Wonder if you'll be playing the other games? The fourth one is my favorite!
It would be so cool if Gab got one of these puzzle boxes irl and did a video on solving it or something cause that’s all I was thinking about like the whole time watching this. This is epic

There are a total of 4 games now. The Room, The Room 2, The Room 3 and The Room:Old Sins

I love this game, and all the ones the creator made too, the third one even has different ending, if you ever get to it.
