Hi Jess, When you are dealing with tiny seeds, try spreading a thin layer of vermiculite over them instead of soil. And mist well. You should get better germination. Once they germinate they can see the light through the vermiculite and it will make them come up quicker. Have you tried the yellow strawberry yet? I never heard of it before but I ordered 4 plants and I'm growing them now. I will save the seeds 😊 Have a great day and happy gardening 🌿🌱😊🤗🥰 LUV U 👹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

You have to snip the tie between the mother plant and the runner once the runner has roots (I’ve had best success rooting them in those thin fabric pots with a little soil tied onto the runner. Once its got little roots snip it off the runner and plant it in its own pot

I learned that I probably need to clean a bunch of strawberries with your method. I bought a bunch that were on sale. I freeze them for my smoothies. Next time I'll soak them and clean them first like that.

Man, I gotta try planting strawberries. Maybe next year, I'll make another raised garden bed just for strawberries. This is my first year gardening and so far my plants are looking good. Aside from my potatoes, I'm not sure if they'll grow. I live in a very sandy part of Manitoba and I decided to see if I could grow potatoes like everyone was telling me I could. Every other one of my plants are in a raised bed with peat moss and soil.

Honestly, plants (or fruits) are easier to plant accidentally than intentionally... Like one time, my dad threw his mango seed on his garden as fertilizer, months later, very lil mango tree grew. Had to take it off (bcs we already have the big one) and idk what happened to the tree next. The other time, my dad tried to grow some melons, well it did become melons, but it was horrible~ then the plant died. Currently my dad has eggplants, bell peppers, okras, pineapple tree?? and some other plants that I forgot it's even there

your video made me want to try this out! I used a vegetable peeler to peel off the skin then put those skins seed side up on a plate then let those skins dry out for a day or two. After they dried out the fruit was stuck to the plate but all the seeds were loosely attached and came off just by running my finger over them. doing this i managed to get all the seeds off of a pack of strawberries. literally thousands.

  • @psycosiswc

First, don't use a blender, it can damage the seeds LOL!
Second The "red strawberry" is pineberry (just scrolled back in the video, it even says pineberry on the container), not a strawberry. its the result of a crossbreed between a white strawberry from south America, and the traditional north American strawberry. It's called a pineberry because the taste is similar to a pineapple, though there's some debate on that. Japan has nothing to do with it.....
