I very much like the clarity of your courses as been confused by some others and have confidence I shall be able to pass the exam in due course. Please keep up the great work. It is much appreciated as learning is fun
@@AdamMarczakYT Hi Adam, I'm a bit confused with question number 6 on your practice test. "If you want to run legacy applications which require specialized infrastructure then which cloud deployment model should you choose?" I choose for the hybrid model as you said in your video that for the hybrid model one of the advantages is to run legacy apps here. Is it possible to clarify why a private cloud model is the correct answer here? Thanks in advance!
Your course is waaaay better than what Microsoft offers, i have noticed you didn't finish the whole course yet ... arg, I will need to read their boring documentation ... Your explanations are just great and concised !
Private cloud can be both on-prem as well as cloud provider hosted infra. The main point is that all the hardware and networking resources are dedicated to a single organization NOT shared. Its ideal for secure or sensitive organizations like government.
I don't want to condemn the cloud, but a distinct disadvantage that I think you missed is that continued support for the provided service is up to the cloud provider. If you choose a cloud service that sounds ideal but the provider feels is getting outdated, you might later find the provider announces dropping support and then you need to start again with migration to an alternative, whereas with on premises you could choose to migrate at your own pace.
@@AdamMarczakYT You are welcome. I was wondering if you are coming up with next series. Or is it on on Udemy or any other platform, I will be happy to buy.
Question1: A private cloud does not need to be hosted in your own data center. You can create a private cloud environment within Azure using Azure’s networking, dedicated hosting, and private connectivity features. This allows you to build a secure, isolated, and dedicated environment within the Azure public cloud infrastructure. Question2: A hybrid cloud can be created by combining two or more cloud providers (such as Azure, AWS, GCP) and/or integrating with your own on-premises infrastructure.
Regarding to the test: "If you want to run legacy applications which require specialized infrastructure then which cloud deployment model should you choose?" Why not a hybrid? In hybrid you also can do everything you want on the "private side" of hybrid cloud. Isn't a private cloud actually a company intranet?
Interesting take. I probably will rephrase the question, but in general if you have App A and you want to run it on specialized infra, why do you want to go through the process of setting up Hybrid Cloud when all you need is just Private Cloud. But I understand the confusion, both will support it, but private is the logical first choice here.
Hello Adam your videos are great but when you updated your videos or maybe you can guide me for where to find the last topics including in the new version of the exam az 900.
Adam - I understand that the term Hybrid Cloud is used when a company has a presence in one of the Public Cloud providers such as Azure/AWS/Google ... etc also has a Private Cloud On-Prem which is the pretty much the case with financial institutions that cant move data to the cloud due to regulations. However, what if a company has a presence in one of the Public Cloud providers such as Azure/AWS/Google apart from having its own data-center(s). Would this kind of a setup also signify/Imply a Hybrid Cloud Scenario? Note that in this case, the On-Prem data center does not have any Private Cloud features.
Hi Adam, Few questions - 1. If a company provisions it's own data center and everything will that be on-prem model or private cloud model ? 2. If public cloud vendor provides dedicated resources(don't know if they do) can we call it private. or is it like untill and unless everything is managed by client we can't call it private ?
Hey 1. depends if you provide features that constitute a cloud, my first episode explains what does the cloud mean 2. no, dedicated hosts are still public cloud offers, they just allow physical separation of hosts for demanding clients
Hi Adam, i have a question for you -- there are few applications running on on-premises and few applications running on AZURE CLOUD what are the best practices to improve implement to perform these applications to interacting both on-premises as well as azure?
Hi Adam, I found the videos are very detailed and well structured. Thanks for all your efforts. I scheduled my exam next month and started preparing with the material provided by you. Few questions Related to the topic- I read somewhere that On Premise and Private Cloud referred as different Cloud deployment Models. I believe they are same. Can you share your thoughts on it? Also In addition to Public ,Private and Hybrid deployment model, I read about Community Model e.g. Azure Germany, Azure China. Do we need to consider it in this deployment model list? Also there are some separate deployment models for Government entity. Can you add something on that?
On-perm means your own server rooms. But not every on-perm is a private cloud. In order to be cloud you need to provide certain characteristics like self service, scalability, elasticity, etc. I don’t think Azure uses community hosting model. Azure china is just external partner company. Some of those are answered in my Geographical episode of AZ900 so check it out :)
