I'm glad they're scaling back the power of expansions. The power creep is insane and I hope that when the new year comes around they'll be able to slow the game down.
This year has been absolute dogshit for hearthstone, with over 80% of the new cards in expansions being unplayable. but if you like Whizbang 2.0 meta then I guess you’re having a great time.
Ughhhh is this what it felt like being into WOW when they released hearthstone? I'm just like oh my god, it's my buddy Void Ray from the hit video game sc2!!! this is gonna pull me back in I swear. especially when I hear the voice lines, I'm gonna hear "we move unseen" or the psi storm sfx and it's OVER for me, I'm back in. Putting on the clown makeup, it was nice being free of hearthstone for a while.
A lot of the cards seem OK, but definitely look like they'll be "all or nothing". If nothing else, the team did a good job of translating the units into Hearthstone. Also, while they may not be good in the current, this is kind of the direction we want the game to go isn't it (aside from the minion Ghost)? Cards that are more focused on the board.
I think if they reduced the cost of a few cards, or made it so when you play a faction you get access to all faction cards, then it could be really solid. But as of now? It just feels a bit too weak.
you kept talking about zerg must have the boys, but the whole point to zerg is having the boys, its very thematic and fits what zerg as a whole is, its everyone or nothing.
5:02 we literally have Death Knight Legendary that only gives 1 attack and it is insane, and this thing is a better version of it if you are playing Zergs.
That’s an awful expansion, I’ve been collecting 2500 gold and I’m not sure I’m gonna buy it. Probably I’ll look for the other minisets instead (I just came back into playing hs).
I strongly suggest you hold off on buying anything else, because it's likely a few of these legendary cards will make it into decks, and dare I say, many of these cards are going to be used when rotation comes around (new expansions most likely in march with rotation).
If you're missing a lot of cards from the newer sets that aren't going to be rotated, then it's probably better to prioritize those. Stuff like tourists from Perils are gonna be more impactful to what decks you can run. This set is supposed to be lower power, and probably won't have a chance to be "good" until post-rotation. It's also pretty self contained with the faction specific synergy. Unless something in this set is immediately broken, or really speaks to you, you have time to wait on this mini-set.
2024, Players: The powercreep is awful! They should lower the power level! 2025 *Blizzard does lower the powercreep* Players: Wow this is so underpowered! I ain't buying this miniset. Also, Rarran completely missed Zerg synergies. Not saying it's the best thing in the world, but it still better then Terran by a mile.
Because lowering the power level of new sets does not lower it for the available sets, duh. So this new cards just won't see play because of the powercrept to hell cards currently in the game. Why would you buy a set to just lose with?
@@AlleonoriCat First of all, you buy it because it's fun, that is or at least should be why anyone would play any game ever. Second of all, yes it (probably) won't see Constructed play NOW because 2023 still exists, but in like 2 months tops the rotation will happen and this will get a better chance at seeing play, with the new expansion and core set maybe following the lower power level, even tho 2024 expansions were also relatively strong but not THAT strong. Buy the miniset, you should have gold for it anyway, play the game and have fun. Or don't buy it. Just don't mindlessly complain about the lower power level when that's what the community has been asking literally all year. Since the Zilliax Deluxe 3000 people have been complaining about it.
@ I don't complain and I don't play this game since like Old Gods I think. I just tell you why people complain and why releasing one underpowered set is not the solution. "Fun" would apply to single player game, but here it is not fun to constantly lose. So you are either playing meta or you quit like me. Blizz also don't want to release weak sets because they sell less. So I think the myth of lowering power levels is just a tall tale devs keep dangling before us

the battlecry does damage to the enemy hero, its not kalimos
What was your thought process here, cause to me it's pretty obvious that Siege Tank wouldn't deal damage to the enemy hero if you played Shudderblock.
Can someone answer me if those cards that allow you to play another class cards in-game? So if I wanted to play Terran Hunter it would be a possibility since you could steal the warriors cards.
I don't think protoss or Zerg will be played because there aren't enough zerg or protoss cards in the set to make a complete deck Teran might be playable because it works with other spaceship cards.
😂😂😂
I'm glad they're scaling back the power of expansions. The power creep is insane and I hope that when the new year comes around they'll be able to slow the game down.
They really need to get rid of Bob, Zilliax, Yog, and Reno, and then expansions can actually be allowed to have minions on the board
Putting on the clown makeup, it was nice being free of hearthstone for a while.
never mind is don't need to mald over ghosts in two different games. I am excited to watch though!
Is it just me, or Rarrans mustaches become much more notable? Now i can see his caucasian blood)
I think if they reduced the cost of a few cards, or made it so when you play a faction you get access to all faction cards, then it could be really solid. But as of now? It just feels a bit too weak.
does seige tank work with shudderblock would be kinda funny
lurker not being stealth is such a miss flavor wise
It’s so over for the Bazzar Hearthstone clears
you kept talking about zerg must have the boys, but the whole point to zerg is having the boys, its very thematic and fits what zerg as a whole is, its everyone or nothing.
druid makes their max mana above 10 it would be easy to play a 12 mana card without "until end of turn/your next card" cards
as an old starcraft fan this set looks fun! i just dont play standard. terrian looking very strong. grunty is my mvp haha
Lock on says A minion not Your minion it's basically like that one hunter card
These do feel like they’ll be fun to play with in Arena, at least?
Why introduce a new tribe that needs more support in the new expansion to then add basically 2 new tribes that may need more support in the mini set?
I might actually return to Hearthstone because of this mini set.
Baneling Barrage seems pretty good, 1 mana deal 2 to all enemy minions get 2 corpses.
“Get”, not summon. It’s very slow for a Zerg strategy, especially in DK which hasn’t had an aggro deck since OG plague DK.
reminder that some people play this game to have fun, not only to win and get to legend every month. "good" card doesnt mean fun to play card.
Gotta love the fact that Ghosts are overpowered in yet another Blizzard game.
5:02 we literally have Death Knight Legendary that only gives 1 attack and it is insane, and this thing is a better version of it if you are playing Zergs.
Eliza sees no play diamond-legend according to hsguru
Insane? I haven't seen her played that much at all. I've pretty much only seen it played if it was discovered.
@@pavlestojanovic270I play her at D5 so there's me at least
Insane? Huh? I’ve rarely seen this card played
I've never been more excited for a mini set. I can't wait to make starcraft decks.
Wonder what blizzard will do on hots anniversary
no Starcraft fan wanted this. and it's a MINI-SET!1?!????
Rawrongo would be a zerg minion, or maybe a broodmother
I find it weird that Zerg didn't get a tag like "beast"
Do they have new dungeon runs or solo content, or is hearthstone still boring?
You’re looking at Zerg like it’s true aggro I think it’s more of a midrange play style from what I’ve seen
28:55 Apparently she's wearing Chikara's pants and Billy's jacket.
I'm so salty that druid didn't get zerg for the token package...
If the mutalisk hits a minion thats alone, does that mean it hits the enemy hero twice?
nope, just one time
Ghost targeting the lowest cost feels like a balance change they made despite the flavor choice being a ghost hitting the biggest targets.
Rarran cant read remember
@@viktorgabriel2554 True, Rarran misread a bunch in this video so it's on brand lol
So I think the myth of lowering power levels is just a tall tale devs keep dangling before us
I was a big fan of StarCraft 1, but half of these are from 2 and I dunno that one. If they ar unplayable for power, nostalgia was the only thing to get me to go in on it...
But rarran, your mothership can get other motherships!
I think you read Lock On completely wrong
Zerg needs a little bit of help but besides that these cards seem fine
Blizzard's budget for Hearthstone seems like its running drier by the day
What a terrible card review
Rarran, most unskilled and random Hs player
worried about shudderwock/ghost in wild possibly
soon will be another core set and oldest 3 expansions will leave and them maybe this sticks
zerg could be good if larva can get more queens and then repeat for more value but i have doubt.
ok shudderblock + ghost would be nutty though
So turns out... these were very impact and Zerg Hunter is broken.
